LILY LET OUT SIGH, AS SHE PUT DOWN THE BOOK SHE WAS READING; PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. "Serena, please, I promise you'll like it!" Serena shook her head, as she continued playing with the rings on her fingers, as Lily exhaled a breathe, and crossed her arms, looking at Serena like she was her mother, and she'd just ate a whole bag of sweets. They were in the common-room, hanging out. "Yes, Serena. You will in fact read this, or I'm telling the whole school about the Sprite incident."

Serena let out a gasp, looking back at Lily, a smile creeping on the redhead's face. Of course she wouldn't tell anyone her secrets, but she liked joke. "You wouldn't-"

"Then read it! I promise you won't regret it," Lily glanced at her best friend, taking the book back into her hands. Serena groaned loudly, earning a couple people staring at her like she was a crazed girl. She then mumbled a 'fine', taking the book into her hands. Lily had a smile, patting her back proudly.

"Read mine, but give it back. This is my all time favorite book, do not lost it," Lily said sternly, as Serena nodded, looking at the book. It seems like an older copy, and  it seems liked it'd been used forever. Still, it made the book look beautiful in way. Serena also liked ancient stuff. There was something alluring about vintage stuff to Serena, she didn't know why.

Serena put down the rusty book, and peered back at Lily. "So . . . now what?"

Lily rolled her brown eyes, a sigh leaving her mouth. "Read, of course!" Serena whined in annoyance, as she opened the book, and started reading with a heavy sigh.

" WHEN they had gone, Elizabeth, as if intending to exasperate herself as much as possible in front of Mr. Darcy-- , "

Serena let out another whine, an eye roll after. "This is boring!" Lily gave Serena a stern look, before Serena let out another heavy sigh, and continued the book, as Lily decided to read another book while her friend was borrowing her.

--

Serena laid her head on the grass, as she read the pages. She was already on chapter three. She was surprisingly enjoying this book more than she intended, and now she can't put it down. The sun hit her face, as she slowly put the book with a sigh, and got up. She brought the quilt that Lily made for her up to her legs. Her hair was in a very messy bun, and she wasn't on planning on staying outside for longer, the sun was already setting. Serena shrugged, and laid back down as she continued reading.

Mere minutes, turned into hours, and the sun had already went down. As she read more, and more, she was already at the end of chapter three.

" My watchfulness has been effectual; and though I should certainly be a more interesting object to all my acquaintances, were I distantly in love with him, I cannot say that I regret my comparative insignificance -- "

She was cut off by a shout from in front of her. She jolted up, only to relax once she realized it was only James. Oh . . .  James and the project! She'd forgotten, another sigh escaping her lips. James walked to the girl, and looked down on her.

"Why are you here, it's late," James queried, in a low tone as he sat next to her. Serena gazed at his face, a frown creeping on her face.

"I was reading, and you --"

"No you skipped our study date! We were going to study, and you bailed. Don't worry, I did your work for the day, I'll give the notes from today when I have the chance," James imparted sadly. Serena felt almost bad -- why would she feel bad? Well, he did your work for her, and she didn't show up. Serena focused on his expression; he didn't smile, or even look at her - he seemingly was looking everywhere but her. He was actually sad -- possibly mad? Or both.
