( pretty long chapter lol, sorry abt that! not edited )

The girls walked through Diagon alley, trying to find Twilfitt and Tatting's. Marlene woke up a bit late, so Lily scolded her the whole way. Serena has been very quite, and smiley the whole day because Daxon made one of his friends send her a vase of daisies, because she told him they were her favorite flowers.

The whole Gryffindor common room was awing at the cute gesture except Sirius and James. James was glaring at his friend, and Sirius was just mad because James was. Serena could've gotten mad at the boys -- but she decided against it. James was also quite irritated because he was going to third wheel at the dance! Sirius and Remus were going together, and Peter was going with another girl.

"Merlin, Marlene, should we just match dresses?!" Lily gasped, as Marlene nodded happily.

"Or, should I wear a suit!?" Marlene smiled as Lily nodded. "It would be so wonderful!"

"Yes, Marls, get a suit. It would be amazing!" Serena grinned at the blonde, as Lily nodded once again. "I'm thinking of something floral, with a crown."

"Oh, look at you, Rena! Going big for Mister Daxon," Marlene wiggled her eyebrows, as Lily chuckled. Serena blushed as she looked down.

"I mean -- it's mostly for me, though! I want to look dazzling," Serena explained as the girls nodded. It was true -- these past few years she hasn't been really trying, but she's decided this dance was going to be the best ever.

"You will look beyond dazzling, my dear. We all will!" Lily grinned at her friends, as they walked into Twilfitt and Tatting's store. There were lots of dresses and suits, so they were all in for hours of trying on dresses.

Lily walked towards a white off-shoulder dress, with lace on the fronts. "Look, Marls!"

"That is adorable, oh my gosh!" Marlene took the dress from the racks, looking at it. "That'd look so cute!"

"Marlene, Lils, look!" Serena pointed at a matching pair dresses and suits. They were very silky, and dress was long and flowy, while the suit seemed very classy. Lily gasped, as Marlene nodded.

"Okay, put this on the side, this is definitely an option,"

It took hours of looking around, and trying things on, but they've finally found their dresses and accessories. Serena was going for a Beauty and the Beast dress, with lots of floral design and off-shoulder top. She was also getting butterfly and flower pins, with some rings.

Marlene and Lily decided on a classy look, Lily with a short silky white dress, and Marlene with the suit matching with it. Their accessories are all golden, with some hair-pins for Lily, and rings for Marlene.

Lily let out a yawn as she took the bag for her and Marlene. "That was-"

"Tiring," Marlene finished the sentence for Lily.

"I forgot how tiring this can be." Serena says as they both nod. "Should we go get food, or should we just head back to the common room?"

"I vote food," Marlene voices, as Lily nods. "I'm starving!"

The dance was only a day away, and Serena was nervous. She and Daxon had only talked a few times, does she really want to go to the dance with him?! More importantly, does he want to go with her? Her overthinking was at an all time high, and Sirius wasn't making it better.

During lunches, Sirius would tell her all about his exes, and she couldn't show that she cared, so she would ignore it. Obviously it didn't help that James was also nagging her about whether Daxon was right for her, but he would it do in a more . . .  subtle way. But thankfully they both the stopped.
