THE NIGHT SEEMED TO NEVER END. Serena was right, she didn't sleep a blink last night. She kept turning and twisting in her bed, anticipating her two weeks with the Potters and Sirius. Based on what Lily has said, his parents are the sweetest people in the Wizarding World.
But that wasn't Serena's only concern: Where was she gonna sleep? How is James going to act? Is it gonna be fun? Are his parents going to like her? Why does she care so much if his parents like her? Is Sirius going to be annoying? Is it going to awkward?
She was only overthinking that night, she never slept.
The morning came faster than what Serena expected. She awoke earlier than Marlene, Dorcas and Lily, which was unlike her. It was just her nerves again. Serena decided this was the best time to do her check-list.
Lily woke up a few minutes after her. "You're up early."
Serena turned to the ginger, "yup, gotta make sure I didn't forget anything."
"Did you even sleep last night, Rena?" She asked, yawning. She shook her head, also yawning. "Why?-" Before she could answer, she answered it herself with a smirk. "Ohh, is it spending the break with James?" She giggled as Serena shushed her.
"The girls are still asleep," She smiled. "To be fair, I am spending it with Black as well."
She sighed. "Hopefully he won't be much of a bother."
"We can only hope," Serena says as she continues packing her things.
After about twenty minutes went by, everyone was awake. Marlene forgot to pack her bag, which Lily scolded her for. Mary let Dorcas borrow her hair brush, which she lost, making Mary yell at Dorcas. Alice was being an angel per usual, helping everyone pack.
Soon it was breakfast; Serena and James made eye contact loads of times, prompting Sirus to tease James about it as if he wasn't blushing after Remus gave him his first public kiss that morning.
--
Serena watched as Marlene and Lily blow her a kiss as they board the Hogwarts express. She was waiting for James and Sirius, wherever they are. James told her that his parents always pick them up instead of having to board the train. She waited, and ten minutes go by. She was starting to get worried before she heard running footsteps behind her.
And there they were; James and Sirius. She sighed and got up to scold them before James heard something behind them, making James grab her hand as Sirius grabbed her stuff. They all started running.
"Guys, what the bloody hell is hap-"
"No time to explain, run as fast as you can!" He yelled as he practically dragged her, Sirius behind them. She has never been more confused in her life.
About two minutes go by before they stop, James letting her hand go. Sirius lets go of Serena's bags, as she falls to the ground. They were all catching their breath before Serena mumbled, "what just happened?"
"Well," Sirius was trying to catch his breath, "we were in Diagon Alley, getting something for Mrs. Potter, before we accidently," he winked at James, "kicked a few barrels down."
"The owner," James paused for a breath, "was uh, running after us."
Before Serena could answer, she heard a voice behind her, "Who was chasing you, dear?"
She turned around to see Mrs. Potter, smiling down at them. "Hello, you must be Serena Fraser!" She helped her up, "I've heard a lot of good things about you." She smirked at James as he rolled his eyes.
