𝟬𝟭𝟴: I CAN'T LEARN FOUR UNIT IN A NIGHT! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO PASS?

AFTER CHRISTMAS EVERYTHING HAD CHANGED. Serena decided that it was best to stay away from James, and he thought the same. There was a unsaid mutual agreement that staying friends maybe wasn't the best idea for the two of them, but there wasn't any bad blood between them. 

Serena hung out with Marlene and Lily but she felt like a third wheel 90% of the time. When she hung out with Sirius or Remus, James always showed up and there was tension that she didn't want to deal with, so she left, too. So, she started hanging out with some new people. 

FLASHBACK TO THE WEEK BACK AFTER CHRISTMAS BREAK...

Serena sat alone in the courtyard, sighing in boredom. She had no one to hang out, and frankly, it was kind of sad. She had her legs up, and she was laying her head on them while she watched some other people laugh with their friends. She didn't want to be that person, the one who gets jealous of their friends for dating. But she feels left out and neither Lily or Marlene noticed so she decided to just leave them be for now.

Lily and Marlene were "eating lunch" in their dorms, which meant they were sucking each other's faces off. She thought maybe eating in the library was a good idea, but she saw that the Marauders had thought that was a good idea too. She hated that James had that much of impact to her, but she couldn't help it. He broke her heart into pieces, and she felt like he didn't care. 

She heard footsteps and she looked up. She didn't expect for Daxon Fawley to be standing there, sympathy in his eyes. Serena looked down to the ground, embarrassed. 

"Hey," he spoke first. 

"Hi." She finally looked up. He had sympathetic and a caring glare in his eyes. He felt bad for her. "What's up?"

"Well, I saw you sitting alone, and I just wondered if you wanted to sit with me and Eliza." He smiled and moved so Serena can see his friends. They waved and smiled. Serena's face had gone red as she looked down, embarrassed. 

"Oh my gosh, this is pathetic." Serena muttered, but Daxon heard. 

"Listen I heard what happened with James, and I feel bad. I would've never done that to you personally, you're so smart and beautiful. It isn't embarrassing, okay? Just come sit with us, it's fun." 

Serena looked up, sighing. Since when was Daxon so sweet? She smiled. "You think I'm beautiful?"

"Is that the only thing you got out of that whole monologue?" He chuckled. "Of course I think you're beautiful, because you are."

Serena's smile grew and suddenly her face felt hot. Wow. She really left all this for James? Someone who didn't even want her? She sighed and stood up. "Okay, let's go sit."

Daxon smiled and nodded, leading the way to his friends. 

PRESENT... ( THREE WEEKS TIL SUMMER BREAK )

Serena and Daxon started dating a few weeks after that and James was quite jealous, but this time, he decided to leave it be.

James, Sirius and Peter sat in their dorm. Peter was studying for his DADA final, while Sirius was sleeping and James was sitting bored out of his minds. The room was quick other than Peter's mumbling, trying to cram all the stuff they've learned into his head before tomorrow.

Sirius let out a snore that sounded like a snort, and James gave the sleeping boy a disgusted look. Peter started groaning, leaning back into his chair, putting his hands on his face. He proceeded to let out a scream, waking up Sirius with a jump.
