unedited 🤨**MRS. POTTER WALKED INTO THE BEDROOM, GAPING AT THE SCENE IN FRONT OF HER. Her son, and Serena cuddling, in his bed. She was confused, but a smile plastered on her face; she always knew that they liked each other. A part of her wanted to leave them be, after all - it is a invasion of privacy. But before she could leave --
"Sweetie, are the boys awake yet?" He then looked at the sight that his wife was looking at, confused as well. "Wha-"
"Shush, Monty, you'll wake them! Let's go, come on, quick quick! We'll make them breakfast when they wake up." She smiled as they left the room. She always had a feeling they liked each other - she just didn't wanna assume; now she can help get the two together! Mia always had a problem with meddling, but was it really meddling if they truly needed her help?
James yawned as he opened his eyes, he adjusted to the bright light coming from his window. He realized he forgot to close the blinds last night - then, he realized he was sleeping with Serena -- Then, he felt a heavy sensation on his inner arm. He finally realized he was cuddling with Serena -- for the second time. He didn't know why he always found himself in that position.
He didn't wanna wake the girl up yet, it was early - or was it? If he was being honest, he didn't know the time. James also didn't want to move because then Serena woke up. He then heard a a hum and a yawn. He turned to face Serena, their faces being mere centimeters away.
Serena woke, James' face close to her. She was also on his arm, they were practically on each other at this point. They looked in each other's eyes for a moment, before Serena looked away and cleared her throat.
"Guess we fell asleep on each other, huh?" She laughed awkwardly, moving from his arm, sitting up from her spot next to him. James nodded and laughed lightly He rubbed his neck awkwardly, as she rubbed her eyes. "Well, we better get some breakfast."
"Yeah, hopefully Mom made some food." James responded. He got up from his spot, and so did Serena. She couldn't believe that she fell asleep, on James. She didn't even know that she had done that - it just happened. The thought of sleeping in such close proximity from the Potter made her blush.
They had to do a lot of stuff because Christmas Eve was tomorrow. Serena felt like the week passed so quickly -- Christmas was already here. Part of her didn't want to go back to Hogwarts; she loves the place to death, but the Potter residence was much more of a homely place and she liked that.
FLASHBACK TO 1951 . . .All Ceres heard was screaming and crying -- she couldn't even process what she had just heard. Her older brother had just been found dead. She stood there, her mother and sister, Nephele on the ground sobbing her eyes out. Her sister-in-law, Cordelia, who had just told them news, shared the same numb expression. He had been killed by some Blood purists when he was trying to get some toys at the local shop and they had took him and casted the spell on him.
Lucian had never been one for the Wizarding World, but he wanted his daughter to have the same experience he had -- a somewhat peaceful childhood. He wanted his family to be close to her too; well, the family who wanted to be near her. Lucian was always sweet and peaceful; he never wanted to cause trouble and they killed just because he didn't want to marry a pure-blood. Anger took over her body, as she started to walk away from the women.
"I'm going to make them pay." She told them before Cordelia went after the grieving sister. "I'm going to make them pay!" She grabbed her, hugging Ceres before she started to breakdown. Her brother; her kind, sweet and amazing brother was dead. She was never going to see him. She had never cried harder before. Cordelia shushed her, as tears escaped her eyes as well.
CERES got up, walking into the house. She went up to her room, trying to drown everything out -- the only thing she needed to do was leave. She had to leave this wretched place. She packed her bags and quickly walking down the stairs. She looked around; her father was nowhere to be found. Ceres then found her mother, Cordelia and her younger sister Nephele sitting in dining room.
"I'm leaving,"
There were no protests -- she had the right to leave this horrible place after what they had done to her brother. "I'm coming back for Nephele. She's not staying here for long." She turned to leave before she heard the soft cry of her mother.
The older woman came up to her, hugging her. "Stay safe, please."
PRESENT . . .
"Mac and cheese? That sounds delicious!" Mrs. Potter chirped as Serena nodded. Serena was teaching Mrs. Potter some Muggle Christmas dishes. She wanted to learn some new recipes for tomorrow's Christmas Eve dinner with everyone. "That sounds so delicious!"
Something that no one knew about Serena was she loved cooking and baking. It was her favorite pastime at home. She didn't like to cook whilst at Hogwarts; the equipment didn't make it sense to her. She's been there for six years and she still doesn't know what the hell any of the equipment does.
"Yes, it tastes deliciou-" Before she could finish, she heard a crash. Mrs. Potter and Serena made eye contact before they both sighed and quickly walked to the living room; they saw Sirius and James sprawled on the floor with the Christmas tree . . . burned. Serena cursed under her breathe before Mrs. Potter went up to the boys.
"Seriously?! How do you even do . . . that, to a Christmas tree!" Mrs. Potter shouted as the boys stand up to explain.
"Well, Sirius thought to was fine to put candles on the tree --"
"Oh please, James! You thought it was a great idea too."
Serena rolled her eyes at the two boys, "well now you boys know that Christmas trees are flammable."
"Shut up, Serena," they both said at the same time, earning a glare from Mrs. Potter.
"You be quiet." Mrs. Potter looked at the boys with a stern look. They both nodded, scared. Mrs. Potter is a nice lady, but she's very strict when she needs to be. "You will go get the best Christmas tree there is, right now. And if you fail to, you will both not be happy." Serena had never seen Mrs. Potter so grim and angry. "And, Serena will come with you."
"What!" Serena shouted, as Mrs. Potter turned to the girl with a frown. "I mean . . . of course, Mrs. Potter!" She forced a smile as Mrs. Potter had a pleased expression.
"Good girl, now, come on now. Get going before it gets too late!" She says with a smirk as she watched the three walk out, especially Serena and James. She knew what she was doing by sending those two out; she thought she wouldn't meddle in their business, but she truly couldn't help it.
