My eyes flew open as the air was forced out of me and the light from the windows stung my eyes. I slowly opened them to see Dani straddling my waist his hands on my chest. He was smiling brightly down at me.

"Merry Christmas, Jay," he said happily.

I groaned tiredly in response.

"Yeah, yeah," I said. "Merry Christmas to you too. Let's go back to bed."

"As good as an idea as that sounds, it's two in the afternoon and we have to be at Bruce's in an hour, so we need to get ready."

"Ugh," I groaned again, easily pulling Dani off my lap and putting him against my chest, rolling onto my side and trying to go back to bed.

"We're just wearing our pajamas, it'll be fine," I said. "Let's just go back to bed..."

"Jase..."

"...fine."

I let him go and he crawled out of bed, putting on his Christmas pajamas. He disappeared into the bathroom, then came back out a few minutes later, his toothbrush in between his lips.

"Jason," he said. "Out of bed."

"It's like I'm fifteen again and Bruce is waking me up for school."

He chuckled and grabbed my hand pulling me into a sitting position on the side of the bed. I slumped forward against his waist, not wanting to get up.

"Can't we just have our own Christmas here...?"

"Christmas is about family, Jay," he said. "So no."

I sighed as he walked away and I slowly started to pull on my pajamas.

"Ready?" he said as he came back out of the bathroom.

I put my arm around Dani as Tim started to pass gifts out to everyone in the room. Connor was playing with Ace on the ground as Dinah watched them carefully.

I watched as Tim set one down in front of Dani, which caused Dani to read the label and throw a thankful glance towards Bruce. I watched as he tore the paper off, then opened the box to reveal black leather clothing inside. He pulled it halfway out to reveal a sleek, black jumpsuit, with a few yellow accents- a supersuit.

He smiled slyly and looked over to Bruce.

"Thank you," he mouthed silently.

Bruce nodded respectfully, then looked away as he sipped his coffee.

"Well, there's an incentive to go kick some ass tomorrow night," I said.

"Oh, no," Dani replied. "We are on vacation."

"Wha-? Well, what else are we gonna do tomorrow? And don't say clean the apartment."

He met my eyes and dropped his voice.

"I could think of a few ideas..."

I looked around briefly to make sure no one heard that, then kissed him briefly.

"I'll clean the entire apartment tonight if you're serious about that tomorrow."

"Oh, I'm serious," he said. "All day tomorrow...Merry Christmas..."

I smiled goofily as he said this, already excited for it.

"And no, you don't have to clean the apartment tonight," he added.

"Letting me off easy?" I said.

"No...just cause, well..." he said as he dropped his voice again. "We're starting tonight..."

I chuckled deeply and pulled him closer to me.

"God, I love you," I said.

He laughed and continued to watch the others open their presents.

I thanked Tim as he set one down in my lap. I opened it slowly and lifted the lid off the box to reveal an array of items. A new jacket, a gift card to my favorite fast food restaurant, and a stray bottle of beer. I lifted it up to see my favorite brand.

"Ooh!" I said happily, then snapped the top of the bottle on the edge of the coffee table, popping the lid off.

Dani rolled his eyes with a smile as he looked away.

"Disgusting," he said.

"It's actually really good," I said. "Try it."

"No."

"Just try it."

"No."

I waited a moment longer for him to try it, then took it back and drank a swig.

We all looked up as Alfred entered the room.

"Dinner is almost ready, everyone."

"Thank you, Alfred," Bruce said. "We'll be in in a moment."

Alfred nodded, then walked off.

We waited a few minutes to finish opening all our presents, then started to get up and make our way towards the dining room. I watched as Dani broke off from my side and walked next to Dinah, starting a conversation with her.

I fell into place next to Barbara.

"I see you worked everything out?" she said.

"More or less," I said. "Thanks for that tip about him being in the studio, by the way."

"It's no problem, I like you two together. He makes you happy, Jay. That's something I always like to see. Saves everyone else from the prickly asshole side."

"Ha ha," I mocked.

She giggled a little, then punched my arm.

"It's true," she said. "You guys are good for each other. I'm glad you got it worked out."

"Yeah," I said. "Say, I hate to...bring the mood down, but I might need your help with something. I need you to keep it on the low, no one else can know about it...and I can't ask Dani for help."

"O-o...kay?"

"It...It's about Joker," I said.

She took a deep breath and nodded.

"We'll talk later."

I nodded in agreement as we entered the dining room and I found my seat next to Dani.

"Well, everyone," Bruce said. "We made it to another Christmas. And we picked up a few new friends along the way. What do you say we get this turkey cut?"

Everyone smiled and agreed, allowing Bruce to start to cut the Turkey open and pass slices around.

I laced my fingers with Dani's under the table and met his eyes next to me.

"I love you, Dani," I said.

"I love you too, Jay," he replied.
