"So, Skye, I didn't know that you were a SHIELD agent." I say. Everyone but May was sitting around the kitchen table playing uno. It was one of the rare moments that we weren't yelling at each other for putting donw draw fours. I'm pretty sure May was scoping out the tower.
"Well, the thing is, I'm not actually a SHIELD agent." She says, and I look up, suprised. "I'm a..uh... well, I'm a hacker." She says. I look over at Coulson for conformation. He shrugs and nods.
"That's... unusual. I don't think I've ever seen an official team with a person who wasn't an agent." I say.
"And I don't think I've ever seen someone who can burst into flames and create daggers out of water." She says. I laugh.
"Touche'." I respond. It's Loki's turn, and I lean over to help him, noticing how confused he looks at the cards in his hand, even though I had just explained how to play. "You just put down a card of the same color, or one that has the same symbol." He frowns at his cards, and I roll my eyes and lean over, helping him. I convince him to put down a draw two, and Phil glares at me while picking up his cards.
"Still merciless." He mutters, and I laugh.
"At least I'm not as bad as Fury." He nods.
"What?" Ward asks. The others are looking over at Phil and I curiously now.
"Once, I was playing Uno with Phil, Agent Hill, and Fury. Lets just say, I didn't realise how many wilds and draw fours Fury could keep hidden in that trenchcoat." Fitz raises his eyebrows.
"Are you saying that the Director of SHIELD cheats at uno?" He asks.
"Well." I say, glancing around the room. "You didn't hear it from me, but yes. Quite a bit, actually." Phils phone beeps, and he grabs it. He reads the message and starts to laugh very hard.
"Whats up Phil?" I ask. He just shakes his head and hands me the phone, still trying to stop laughing.
"Tell Sophie that I do not cheat." I read aloud. There is a second of silence before everyone is laughing. Well, except for Ward and Loki. Ward was smiling a little, and Loki just rolled his eyes. "Do too!" I yell, looking at the camera in the room. This only makes everyone laugh more.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~* One week later~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I was curled up next to Loki on the couch in the home theatre in the tower. Jarvis had strict orders to alert us if anyone was even coming up the elevator to the floor we were on. We were currently watching a new, just released movie about the battle of New York. And we were laughing at it.
"This is just so wrong!" I exclaim.
"Is that supossed to be me and you?" Loki asks. The two actors playing Loki and I were fake battling on screen.
"Um, possibly?" I ask. "Look! They didn't even show you throwing me out the window!" I exclaim a moment later, when 'I' jumped onto a stray alien ship to get off the tower. "This is so off."
"Very much so." Loki says. "You are not that tall. Nor did fight that badly." I pause.
"I don't know if I should be offended or complemented by that." I say, and he chuckles. The actor playing Thor appears on screen, And I feel Loki tense next to me. I look up at him, and his jaw is clenched. "What happened between you two?" I ask, breaking him out of his obviously angry thoughts.
        "What?" He asks.
"What happened between you and Thor?" I repeat. "You so obviously dislike him, and he is just trying to be your brother." I pause the movie and look up at him when he doesn't answer.
"Thor is not my brother." He says, stressing the word 'not'. It takes me a moment to answer.
"Thor might not be your sibling through blood, but he is through every other sense of the word." I say. "I mean, you grew up together, right? You bouth fought together and when you were younger played. You both have the same parent-"
"We do not. I was brought in as a baby and lied to my entire life." Loki says, cutting me off. "I was a trophy of war. I was only brought in to try and unite the Asguardians and Jotunn."
"They raised you!" I exclaim. Without realizing it, we are both on our feet. "They brought you and loved you-"
"IT WAS ALL A LIE!" He roars, making me take a step back in suprise. "THEY DID NOT LOVE ME! NO ONE CAN LOVE A MONSTER!" His eyes have changed to red, and his skin is becoming blue. The tempature in the room has dropped.I snap.
"Are you saying that because of your parentage, because... because you have a different color of skin, that that makes you a MONSTER?!" I yell,my own skin changing color, my eyes turning red in anger. "BOTH OF MY PARENTS ARE MYTHOLOGICAL MONSTERS. MY SKIN CHANGES COLOR. I HAVE RED EYES. DOES THAT MAKE ME A MONSTER, LOKI? DOES IT?" He takes a step back, shocked by my outburst.
"Of course not." I hear him say, but only just. He had said it in such a soft voice.
"Then why can't you see that that is not you either." I say, angry tears burning my eyes. "Your parentage, the color of your skin, none of that makes you, Loki. You decide who you are in life. You decide what you do and how you do it. You have to be the one to show the world who you really are." He is looking down at me, and I can't read the emotion on his face. "You have begun to change for the better Loki. For me. You say that nobody can love you?" I ask. "You should have taken into account that I love you."
He doesn't say a thing, just stares at me in shock. I turn around and leave the room, and I didn't really care which direction I was going. I end up walking past the labs, including the spare one that Fitz and Simmons were using. I didn't even realize where I was until I heard Simmons speak.
"Um, Sophie?" I look up, and see concerned looks on both her and Fitz's faces. "You- Do you realize that your hair is on fire?" she asks, and I look up, confused. Sure enough, it was. I must not have noticed it when I was fighting with Loki. I take a deep, shaky breath, and it goes out.
"Sorry about that." I say, voice hoarse. It was then that I realized that I had been crying as well. Fitz opens his mouth, about to ask me something, when he sees Simmons glaring at him. His mouth snaps shut, and he looks down. "The skin... and the hair." I say, motioning to my still orange and red skin. "It's normal."
        "Are you alright?" Simmons asks.
"No, not really." I say, my skin finally fading back to it's original color. "But it's nothing you need to be bothered about. You wouldn''t be able to help." she nods, obviously uncomftorable, and changes the subject.
"Your original hair color is blond, right?" She asks, and I nod, confused, not sure where she was going with this. "Well, I hope you don't miss the green too much."
"What are you alking about?" I ask.
"Your hair. It's back to blond." She gets out her phone, using the camera to show me.
"How on earth...." I wonder. "It was green ten minuets ago."
"Maybe the fire in your hair burnt out the chemicals and product of the dye." Fitz suggested.
"That seems most likely." Simmons says, agreeing with Fitz. They then begin to discuss wheather my fire would burn off more permanant things, like ink, or maybe medication. I slowly slip out of the roomafter a few moments, slightly amused by their immesurable curiosity. I take the elevator up to the floor that my room is on.
As I walk into my room, I almost yelp in suprise when I see Loki just sitting next to my desk. His head snaps up when he hears me come in, and he strides over, shutting the door and whirled around to face me. He leaned down, placing both his hands on my shoulders. He looked me strait in the eyes, as if searching for something. "Did you mean it?" He asks, half whispering. "When you said that you loved me. Did you really and truly mean it?" I look at him, slightly worried.
"I wouldn't have said it if it wasn't true." I say. His deep green eyes stare into mine for a moment longer, before he crashes his lips to mine. He's kissing me like I'm the first breath of freash air he's been waiting for, like he never wants to let me go.
"I love you too." He whispers aginst my lips. "I didn't realize it until now, but I love you more than anything." I'm so happy that I feel like I might burst at the seams, so I kiss him again. The kiss was filled with so much pasion and promise that I felt like I could fly. He felt like a cool breeze across my lips, and I felt the urgency pick up. We kissed deeply for what felt like hours. I had never felt so alive in my life.
"I must go if we do not want to raise suspision." Loki murrmered, his forehead resting on mine.
"I wish you could stay." It was truly the only thing I could say in that moment. He smiles, and leans down. brushing one more soft kiss on my lips.
"I wish I could as well." He says, before exiting the room. I sigh, fully happy for the first time in who knows how long, and I finally get ready for bed, the day's excitment catching up with me. Even though I hadn't done much tonight, I had trained all morning. I quickly brushed my teeth and hair, along with changing into my pajama shorts and top.
I'm about to sink into bed, when a gloved hand grabs me and covers my mouth.

Cliffhanger! (Cue evil laughter)
