I woke up to aching arms and wrists from hanging from the cuffs all night, and sat up to look at the red marks that now circled my wrists. I sat there for a hour or two wondering if they would take off the cuffs if they came in at all, or if I would have to sleep like that again when the guard outside my door glanced in and saw that I was awake. He said something into a earpiece, nodded at the response, and came into the room. He unlocked one of the handcuffs long enough to slip it around the bed pole and slap it right back on. Yanking me to my feet, he grabbed my arm and we left the room, going down the hallway to the left.
"Where are we going?" I asked the guard.
"You will see." He said stiffly, not looking at me.
"Well aren't you helpful." I mumbled. A tightening of the hand on my arm was the only response I received from him as we turned down another hallway and into a larger room, a lab is what it resembled and my suspicion was confirmed when I saw Eric walking around and into a area that I couldn't see into. Glancing around, I saw Barton walk up to Greeny, who was a few feet away.
"How long until it is ready?" I heard Greeny ask Barton.
"About three weeks if Selvig figures out the missing component by tomorrow." He said before noticing me and the guard. "And the girl is here, sir." Greeny nodded at him and the guard, and they both left without another word. Greeny  came over to me and resumed the place as the guard, grabbing my arm and pulling me forward into the room Eric had entered minuets before. There was a large.... something in the middle of the room that held the tesseract. Even though I was undercover as a lab assistant, I wasn't as good technologically as I probably should have been.
"Ah, Sophie!" I heard Eric exclaim from behind the large contraption in the middle of the room. His head poked up from behind it and I saw that his eyes were the color of the tesseract. He had been influenced by the stick thing. He continued to speak, though now a little confused, "I am surprised to see you actually. What are you doing here?" Greeny shoved me forward roughly.
"She shall help you in the lab to further along the project." He said. Eric laughed at that and Greeny smirked at me. I couldn't see him but I could feel it on his face, taunting me.
"She couldn't do anything that a regular shield agent couldn't do." Eric said and then looked up thoughtfully. "Actually, they might do better at some points." He said seriously.
"Most likely." I said, laughing and agreeing with the truth. I felt Greeny stiffen and then yank on my arm. "Hey! Could you stop trying to bruise me? That arm has been manhandled enough!" He looked back to Eric but tightened his grip on my arm. A lot.
"What do you mean? You told me that she was your lab assistant! Explain yourself!" He said angrily, glaring menacingly at me and Eric.
"She was assigned to me by Director Fury, and when I told him that she could do nothing to help, other than basic reading, he told me that he did not care and that she was going to stay whether I liked it or not." He explained to Greeny. This was all news I had heard before and I waited for the reaction. Greeny nodded at Eric.
"Keep working, and figure out the missing component and when you do I want told immediately." He then yanked me out of the lab and back down the maze of hallways to my cell. We got back in the room and I noticed that a chair had been placed next to the bed. I was thrilled until I saw that it was bolted to the floor. I must have been gone longer than I had thought because it would have taken a while to do that. I turned away from Greeny's grasp and plopped down on the bed, fidgeting until I sat as comfortably as possible at the end of the bed. He walked around the bed and settled into the chair, turning to look at me. I dealt with his staring at me by focusing on the back of the guards head on the other side of the window, determined not to let Greeny get the upper hand by showing that it annoyed me. After five minuets of this, Greeny sighed and snapped his fingers at me. I ignored him, continuing to count the hair on the guards head. He snapped at me again, and again I ignored him. After him snapping at me for the third time, I turned and shot him a glare, then turned back, resuming my count. He sighed angrily and said in a questioning voice, "What are you doing you mewling quim? I want some answers from you and I am tiered of waiting for your pathetic mind to figure it out. Now turn around and answer me." Snapping my head around angrily, I looked at him and snarled my answer.
"I am attempting to count the number of hairs on the back of his head, now would you please stop trying to mess up my count?!" I flipped my head back around, amused at the flash of a startled look on his face, and attempted to resume my count. I sighed and turned back around and glared at him. "Well I lost my place. Are you happy?"
"Yes." he said with an amused expression.
"That was rhetorical." I sighed, placing my head in my hand, as if I couldn't believe how he didn't understand that. He stayed amused and I just waited for a response. When none came, I looked up asked him a question. "What is your name? You know mine now, so I want to know yours."
"You don't really think that is how this is going to work, do you?" he said, still, for some reason, amused.
        "It could." I said shortly.
"Oh? And how exactly, do you think that?"
"Give and take agreement. You give me what I want and, based on what you give me or what I want out of the amount of the information you desire, I will give you an answer." I stopped and waited for his answer. He mulled it over and after a few minuets turned back to me with a smirk on his face.
"Ok." he said, shocking me back into reality and away from the thoughts that I had of different ways to get out of here.
"Good," I said, recovering quickly. I stuck out my hand and he looked at it in disgust. I rolled my eyes and explained. "You need to shake on the deal. Or do you not do this on wherever you beamed down from?" he paused then, after a few seconds, shook my hand. When he let go, I looked at him funnily. "Why is your hand so cold?" He smirked and simply asked,
"What will my answer get me?" I grinned and leaned back on the end of the bed, already knowing how I could use this to my advantage.
"What do you want to know?"
