I slowly get up and walk over to Natasha, who is trying to keep Bruce calm. "Doctor." Nat says, I'm grabbing the large beam that has Nat's foot under it and I'm trying to pull it off. "Bruce, you've got to fight it."
"We're okay." I spit out through clenched teeth. "This is nothing. We'll be fine." I've lifted the beam a little bit and Nat is trying to yank her foot out.
"This is just what Loki wants." Nat says, continuing to talk to Bruce. "We're going to be okay, listen to me." I see workers coming over but Nat motions at them to run. "We're going to be okay, I swear on my life-"
"YOUR LIFE?!?" I hear Bruce say, in a deep angry voice. His skin is turning green and I know that he is losing the battle. The Hulk is coming out. He sits straight up and his shirt is ripping, green taking over his skin. He tries to move away but only gets a little ways away before he hunches over in the pain of the transformation. Bruce is almost completely gone. He looks over at us and I hear Nat whisper his name, But he gets up and runs down the hallway and roars. The Hulk has been unleashed. I move the beam up a little higher and Nat yanks her foot out. I drop the beam, and we both start running. I go down a side hallway, but Nat starts up the stairs, and Hulk follows, trying to get her. Seeing that Nat is getting away, I sprint towards the detention level, trying to get to Loki. Over the earpiece, I hear people talking, Steve and Tony are trying to fix the engine, and Fury is trying to get the ship over water. I can hear someone fighting the Hulk, most likely Thor, since he is the only one with half a chance. I'm running down the main hallway that leads to the cells when I meet two of Loki's goonies. They rush at me and knowing that I can't waist time fighting, I send out an short shriek, and the fall to the ground, clutching at their heads. When I reach Loki's cell, I walk in and see him, walking around outside the cell. He notices me and smirks.
"As you can see, my plan is working out quite well." I see a half empty water glass on the guards desk, and I inch over to it. "you could join me you know, get over to the winning side before it's too late." My back is to the guards desk and I get the water in my hand in the form of a knife. there is a commotion down the hallway and he glances towards the door. I throw the water knife at him but he gracefully doges it without looking. He turns back to me. "Well, if you are staying on the losing side..." He trails off, and I see his head flicker. I turn around just in time to see the real Loki before he slams me against the wall.
"Let. Me. Go." I say through clenched teeth. He chuckles darkly.
"And why would I do that?" He asks. I stop struggling and give him a wide Cheshire cat smile, and proceed to light his shirt on fire. His eyes widen and he moves away, releasing me to bat out the flames trailing up his sleeve. I go to punch him but he has gotten the flames out and grabs my fist and twists my arm, causing me to yelp out in pain. He is holding my arm behind me, so I kick him in the shin, and he loosens his grip. I yank away and twirl around, kicking him in the chest. He's knocked backwards, but runs forward again, getting his hands around my throat and holding me up against the wall. I'm struggling to breath, clawing at his arms, and getting weaker by the second. I hear Thor come in the room, and, while Loki still has his grip on me, I see his double trick Thor into running into the cage. I'm about to pass out when he suddenly drops me. I land on the ground and start coughing, while at the same time trying to get as much air into my lungs as possible.
"LADY CREST!" I hear Thor boom.
"Are you ever not going to fall for that?" Loki asks him, kicking me in the side before walking away. Thor slams his hammer on the glass, causing it to crack, and the cage slips a foot.
"Thor.... Stop.." I say in a whisper, throat on fire. He doesn't hear me. Loki chuckles darkly again and walks towards the control panel.
"The humans think us immortal." He says. " Should we test that?"
"Move away please." I hear a familiar voice say, and I look up to see Phil with a large gun-like weapon. Loki backs up a little. "You like this?" Phil asks, motioning with the gun. "We started working on the prototype after you sent the destroyer." He moved forward. "Even I don't know what it does..." He says, powering up the weapon. "Do you want to find out?" The real Loki comes up from behind and stabs Phil through the chest with his scepter.
"PHIL!" I shriek, and Thor and Loki wince in pain at the sound. I start to crawl and make my way over to Phil. Loki walks over to the control panel and opens the floor beneath the cage. He presses the button, sending Thor plummeting to earth.
"NO!" I shriek again, and Loki brings his hand to his ear wincing again. Loki starts to walk away and I'm almost to Phil when he speaks.
"You're going to lose." Phil says, making Loki turn.
        "And why's that?"
"It's in your nature." He answers simply.
"Your heroes are scattered," Loki says, stepping towards us. "Your floating fortress falls from the sky." He cocks his head. "Where is my disadvantage?" he asks.
"You lack conviction." Phil says. I pull myself up on the wall next to him.
"I don't think I-" Loki is cut off and thrown backwards as the gun shoots him, causing him to go through a wall.
"So that's what it does." Phil says, and I laugh, a tear escaping down my cheek. He turns to me. "It's going to be okay." He says.
"You have a gaping hole in your chest." I say, tears starting to fall freely.
"I noticed." he said sarcastically, looking down at the growing red. Nick sees us and comes over, kneeling next to Phil. "Sorry boss, The god rabbited." He said.
"You stay awake." Fury says, moving Phil's head so that he was looking him in the eye. "Eyes on me."
"I'm clocking out here." Phil says, humorous in the face of death.
"That's not an option." Fury says.
"It's okay, boss," Phil is breathing harder now and I know that it is a struggle to get the words out. "This was never going to work, if they didn't have something... too...." He never finished. I started sobbing uncontrollably and grabbed his shoulders, shaking his body.
"NO!" I shrieked, as Fury pulled me off him. "No...." I turned around and cried into Fury's chest.

Loki's POV in the jet, flying away from the helicarrier.

My ears were still ringing from the shrieks of Sophie when I stabbed the agent, and let Thor fall. The sound had cut into me, making me want to undo those actions. It must have been her siren side. She used her voice to manipulate me. Sophie....... I couldn't get her out of my mind. Not since her confession about her childhood. About the horrors she had to endure. I had wanted to..... comfort her. This was strange. Maybe it was the look of utter horror at herself when the scars had appeared on her skin, or of how ashamed she had looked of herself as she ran from the room.
I should have killed her, I should have finished choking her to death. I should have gotten her out of the picture so I would not have a distraction.... It was too late now. I would have to deal with her later.
