"Jarvis, get Bruce to the living room." I hear Tony say. It's like I'm listening to him from down a tunnel, though.
"What happened?!" I hear Nat screech. "Why is Sophie unconscious?"
"Is she alright?" I hear Steve ask. I feel myself being set down, but I still can't move.
"We don't actually know." I hear Tony say.
"Are those bruises on her throat?" Clint asks.
"Tony, why did you need-" I hear a new voice, Bruce, ask. suddenly, a set of footsteps rush over, and I feel a hand press onto my head. "You go out to shop, and you come back with Sophie passed out, and apparently she had an attempted strangling." I hear Bruce mutter. I want to laugh, but nothing will work still.
"What do you mean, you don't know?" I hear Nat ask, upset.
"We were waiting out side of a bookstore for her, and when she came out, she was shaking like crazy and she looked terrified." Tony explains. "We got her back to the car after she insisted that we had to leave, and she was curled up in the passenger seat when she said something about someone coming for her and she passed out."
"So you didn't see what actually happened to her?" Clint asks. Their voices are getting fainter. I think I'm going out again.
"I guess we'll find out when she wakes up." Someone says a moment later. I can't tell who now. Someone else speaks, but I've passed out again.

When I woke up again, I was fully awake. I frown in confusion when I see that I'm in my bedroom. "Jarvis, What time is it?" I ask, wondering how long I was out.
"3:37 am, Miss Crest. Would you like me to wake the others to tell them that you have awoken?" He asks.
"No. Don't wake anyone." I say. This couldn't be more perfect timing. I slowly get up and walk over to my closet. I grab a large backpack and stuff a few outfits inside, along with an extra pair of shoes. I grab all the stuff I need from my bathroom, and quickly change into jeans, tennis shoes, a t-shirt, and a light jacket. "Jarvis, is anyone awake?" I ask, just to make sure before I left my room.
"No one is awake at the moment." He says.
"Alert me if that changes." I say.
"Yes Miss Crest." I quietly slip from my room, wincing at the quiet click my door makes when I shut it. I go up the stairs to the kitchen, grabbing a little food from the pantry, along with a couple of water bottles. I'm about to leave the kitchen, when I realize that they deserve an explanation.
I find paper and a pencil, and take a few minuets to write out a letter to the team. I go over it when I finish, making sure I've explained all that I needed them to know. "Jarvis, when they ask about me, can you make sure they find this?" I ask.
"Of course, Miss Crest." He replies.
"Don't tell them that I've left until they get it, Ok?"
"Yes Miss Crest." I look around again, and I see Tony's wallet on the counter. It's stuffed full of twenties, and I take about half of them. When I count, I realize that it is about 400 dollars.
"My goodness Tony. That's only half." I quickly add a little end note to the letter, then make my way down the stairs, not daring to go in the elevator. I hit the ground floor after a while, glad that I was fit. I start for the doors, when I feel a hand on my shoulder.
"Excuse me, may I ask you a question?" An unfamiliar voice says.
"You just did." I say, turning around, tense. My eyes widen when I see the three people in front of me. The first two, a man and woman, look completely normal. But behind them is a large... orange, rock man. The normal man gives a little laugh at my response, and , I assume, my reaction.
"True enough, but we have another." He says.
"Um... Shoot." I say, still staring at the larger rock man.
"The Avengers live here, correct?" He asks. My gaze narrows on him.
"Depends on who's asking." I say.
"Oh, right. I'm Doctor Reed Richards, also known as Mr. Fantastic." He says, and he shakes my hand.
"I'm Susan Richards, also called the Invisible Woman." Susan says, and I shake her hand.
"I'm Ben, but everyone calls me Thing." He says. He puts his hand out, and after a hesitation, I take it. He even feels like a rock. "Johnny should show up soon. Probably in some big flashy entrance." He says when we let go.
"We are also known as the Fantastic four." Susan says.
"I'm, Uh... Sarah Connors." I say, spiting out the first name that came to mind. I mentally  slapped myself. That was the best I could do? It gave me the same initials. "What are you guys doing here at Four thirty in the morning?" I ask.
"We could ask you the same thing." Reed says. My brain spits out an excuse.
"I work here part time while I go to college. I forgot my backpack here last night, and I have an early class, so... here I am." I applaud myself for that. "Why are you here?"
"We are here to help them with something. It's classified." the Thing says.
"Well okay then." I say. " Jarvis will take you up to the Living room in the top couple floors." I say.
        "Jarvis?" Susan asks, confused.
        "Jarvis, introduce yourself." I say.
"Hello. I am Jarvis, Mr. Stark's personal A.I." Jarvis says, making them all jump.
"Jarvis, take them up to the living room in the elevator. When they get there, wake up the oth- the team." I say.
        "Yes Miss-"
"Thanks." I say, cutting off Jarvis before he can say my name. The elevator dings open, and the trio start towards it.
        "Thank you." Reed says.
"Your welcome. Please don't be going up there to do something bad. I could lose my job." I say jokingly. Susan laughs.
        "We wont." She says.
"Bye then." I say, giving a little wave as the door shuts. The second the doors close, I take off on a fast walk, almost a jog. I have even less time to get away than I wanted. I burst into a run when I get out of the building, and I run a few blocks before going down into a subway station. I buy a ticket and hop on the first subway going as far as it could south.
I settle into the hard seat and rifle through my backpack, glad I had grabbed a few books. Before I start to read, I look around the barely filled subway car. I only had one thought come to mind.
        What now?
