I walked into the living room after a minuet after Pepper did, and I didn't see Kim anywhere. I looked at Pepper curiously, but she just smiled. I shrugged, and the others came in. "So how was you super secret meeting?" I ask in a sarcastic way.
"I need a drink." Tony says, walking towards the bar.
        "So normal?" I ask.
"Yep." He says. I roll my eyes, and as I'm turning back to the others, I hear something.
"BOO!" Kim screams, jumping out from behind the bar. Tony yelps in surprise and jumps. Nat instantly has a gun trained on her, and Clint has his bow. Steve has pulled his shield off his back, and is ready too attack. Kim's eyes widen in fear, and she has both her arms up in surrender. "I'm sorry! Please don't kill me!" She yells quickly in fear. "It was all Sophie's idea! Hurt her, not me! She dared me too do it! I'm too young to die!" The team looks at me, and Pepper and I share one glance before we both burst out laughing.
"Did you tell her to hide there?" I ask through my laughs. Pepper just nods, shaking with laughter. "Brilliant."
"Who's she?" Clint asks, bow still on Kim.
"Kim, meet Hawkeye and Black widow. You've already met Tony, Steve and Bruce." I say. Pepper finally stops laughing long enough to go up to Tony and peck him on the cheek. "Guys, she isn't a threat, you can lower the weapons." I say when they don't move from their positions. They slowly put down their weapons, and Kim sighs in relief.
"Jarvis, run a background check." Tony says. He looks at Kim and I. "I'm not risking it." I walk over to Kim.
"Yep. Defiantly like Captain America better than him." She says. I roll my eyes and let out another laugh. Tony scowls.
"How did you get in? I thought I said she wasn't allowed inside my tower, yesterday." Tony says.
"And I told you I was coming anyway." Kim says.
"And I let her up." I say, smiling at Tony. He sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Sir, I've got the background check you asked for." Jarvis says.
"Read it." Tony says, pouring himself a drink.
"Name: Kimberly See. Guardian: Greg Straton. Parents: Paul See: Deceased. Lou See: Deceased. Siblings: None. Senior at North Miami High School. All A honor roll, 4.0 grade average. Employed at Wendy's. Lives in Denver, Indiana. (A/N BTW: all of these places are real. I live near here. ) Parents died in a car accident when subject was twelve. Age: Eighteen." Kim shuffles awkwardly and looks a little sad at the mention of her parents.
"Anything we should be worried about?" Steve, of all people, asks.
"Was given detention for a week after breaking the nose of Ben Harlow during a school lunch. Punishment was minor because of her perfect school record." I raise my eyebrows in surprise and look at her. Everyone else also looks at her suspiciously. She rubs the back of her neck and chuckles nervously.
"Yea... He deserved that. He was harassing one of my friends because of a rumor and she wouldn't fight back. Lets just say, I snapped, and he didn't bully people after that."
"You broke his nose?" Nat asks.
"I... may have hit him in the face with a lunch tray. and punched him." she shuffles her feet, keeping her eyes trained on the floor.
"And you only got a week of detention?" Clint asks, surprised.
"It's a small school. Most everyone saw what happened and explained. It's a plus that all of the teachers like me and I was just standing up for someone." She says, voice quiet.
"Impressive. It's brave standing up for someone." Steve says, and she looks up.
"Thanks." She says, brightening up. I grab her hand.
"Ok, so now we know not to let you near lunch trays." I say, and she rolls her eyes. "Now lets go do something. Greg is picking you up in like an hour, right?" She nods, and I laugh. "Then you can pick something for us to do. I want to be normal for a little bit."

It had been a little while since Kim had left, and I noticed the others were avoiding me. Well, not avoiding really. Its hard to avoid me when none of them will even look at me. What was with them? After an Hour of this, I was fed up.
"What is with you guys?" I ask. I had walked into the kitchen, and they were all eating pizza that Tony had ordered. They had all instantly looked anywhere but at me.
"What do you mean?" Clint asks, focusing on taking a bite out of his pizza. Loki walks in behind me, and as he walks by, he pauses.
"They feel guilty." He says with a dark chuckle. Several of them shoot him glares. I cross my arms over my chest. "That is why they've been avoiding you."
"Why do you guys feel guilty? Shouldn't that be my job, since I ran away and have been putting you in danger just by being here?" I ask, walking over to the pizza box. "Is it because you guys didn't leave me any pizza? Cause that's a pretty good reason." I say. I hear Bruce laugh a little.
"Sorry about that." I go over to the fridge and start getting stuff out for a sandwich.
"Sure you are. mhm. I'll believe that." I say. I finish assembling (see what I did there?) my sandwich, and when I look in the pantry for chips, I see that some smartalec has placed my favorites on the top shelf. I let out a huff of annoyance and reach up, attempting to grab them. I don't even come close. I hear a snort of laughter from behind me, and when I turn around, I see all of the team fighting down and covering up smiles. "You people think this is funny?"
"You tell us, short stack." Tony says, and Pepper hits his arm, even though she is trying to hide a smile too. I shoot him a glare before turning around and facing the pantry again.
"Tall people suck." I say, and I hear a few laughs behind me. I put one foot on the lowest shelf to give me a boost, and I reach for it..... but fail yet again. Now there is full out laughing going on behind me. I put my other foot on the second shelf up, and am almost able to reach it..., when my hand hold slips, and I fall backwards. I wait to hit the cold, hard, unforgiving floor, but someone catches me. I look up at Loki as he sets me on my feet. He sighs and reaches up, getting the bag off the shelf with ease. He holds out to me, and I hang my head in defeat and take the bag. My finger slightly brush his for a moment, but I quickly pull the bag, and my hand, away."Thanks." I mumble under my breath, hoping he doesn't catch it.
"You are welcome." He says. I turn around to see everyone else laughing their heads off. Clint and Nat are both doubled over, Bruce, Pepper, and Steve are all shaking violently with silent laughter, and Tony Is asking Jarvis to send the video of it to a file in between spouts of laughs.
"You all need to grow up." I mumble, and I feel my face going red. I stomp over and sit down at the table with my food, waiting for them to calm down. When they are all still fighting down giggles five minuets later, I ask, "So what did you guys feel guilty about earlier?" Boy that shuts them up quickly.
"We have to leave for our mission." Clint says in his business tone.
"I knew that...." I say, trailing off.
"Tomorrow morning." Steve says. My head shoots up.
"What? So soon?" I ask, a little confused. They all nod, and Pepper looks like a kicked puppy. "What's wrong Pepper?" I ask.
"I-I have to leave for California tomorrow. I wont be back for over a month." She says.
"And our mission will take at least two months, if not more." Nat says. I just stare at them. I look over at Loki.
"Greeny, they are abandoning us." I say. He smirks.
"I do not have a problem with that." he says.
"Love you too reindeer games!" Tony shouts. Loki scowls at him before leaving.
"You know, I feel bad for leaving you alone with him." Steve says. Bruce and Tony exchange a glance before looking over at me. Oh they have no idea.

"You will not leave this tower without permission. If you get permission, you will have an agent escort. You will have agents checking in on you regularly. Your team will be checking on you occasionally through the security. You will have calls sometimes with your team, but they will be calling you. If you so much as take one step outside this building without permission or an escort, we will be immediately informed, and the tower will go under lockdown procedure."
"Can we go out on the roof or the balcony?" I ask.
"Yes. Do not try to leave through there though, or-"
"Lockdown procedure. I think we get it." Fury glares at me. Loki and I were standing in the living room, being told the rules for the next few months of confinement.
"You break any of these rules, not only will you be under lockdown procedure, you will live on the helicarrier until they are finished with their mission." I let out an annoyed sigh at that. Fury turns back to the team. "We are leaving in five minuets." He says before walking out of the room, heading up to the helicopter on the roof.
"Have fun on your mission!" I exclaim. We had said our goodbyes earlier, and the others had left for the helicopter already.
"You sure you'll be okay here all alone with reindeer games?" Tony asks.
"Tony, I'll be fine." I say.
"Maybe more than fine." He says, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively. I felt heat start to crawl up my cheeks, and I hit Tony on the back of the head.
"Just leave already. Or I might have to break one of Fury's rules and jump out the window." Tony laughs and gives me a hug before leaving the room. I walk over to the couch and fall onto it face first. I let out a groan right into the cushions.
"Greeny?" I ask, lifting my head up a little so my voice could get through.
"Yes love?" He asks, sitting down on the chair next to the couch.
"I'm bored." I hear him chuckle under his breath. It was going to be a long mission.
