I managed to control my brother last night when he attempted to learn magic on his own. It did not end well. He threw a fit and it took some time to calm him down.

I was worried that I had to pay for the expensive plate he broke last night but thankfully Marin had a heart of gold.  Today we were having breakfast at Marin's garden while Eli and I were a little worried that the orphanage might notice we're not anywhere.

"What are these! I love them so much!" Eli exclaimed.

"Those are called macarons." Marin handed him another plate, it was like she was feeding him.

"Don't mind if I do." He stuffed his mouth with another cookie while Senan and I were drinking our tea peacefully. My brother already had his breakfast and I think he ate the most.

"Hey, kid!" Marin called out to my brother. "Careful with the rose bushes. Haven't snipped off the thorns yet!" My brother nodded and made his way towards the rose bushes making Marin look offended.

"I don't understand your brother." Senan told me.

"Neither do I."
It was all quiet and relaxing when something hit the glass dome of the garden. The sound of it was oddly familiar as if I had heard it before.
Marin signaled her Butler to check what it was and he exited the dome.

"Probably the neighbor's kids throwing the ball too far again. I swear this time I won't give it back."

The butler entered the garden holding a letter and an owl on his shoulder. Oh...an owl. I knew I heard that sound before, no wonder. He gave the letter to Marin and bowed before going back to his place.

"A letter for you? Neat." Senan tried taking a peak but Marin kept covering it more.

"No, actually it's not for me." She slowly turned her gaze towards me making the two boys look at me as well.

"Who?"

"It says your name on it." She handed me the paper and I carefully took it. Did Sir Albus decide to message me? How kind of him. I would definitely send him a letter back and ask him about his holiday.

Hello (Y/n). I know I don't usually send letters to you young lady but I would just want to know how you're doing. Hopefully the owl I sent you arrived in good condition as well. He's quite an old one.

You will be receiving new letters from me but I can not assure you when or where. I promise that I will write back.
Take care of your brother and yourself. We shall meet again once you return to Hogwarts.

"Who was it from?" Marin asked me while drinking her hot cocoa.

"I think it's from Sir Albus."

"You think? Girl look for his name or something." I checked every corner of the parchment but saw no name or signature on it. He must have forgotten.

"Nothing?" Senan asked.

"Yeah...there's no name on the letter."
I folded it and put it back in the envelope. I'm surely looking forward to meeting Sir Albus again. Right in the middle of the conversation, Eli choked on his drink and started coughing. I quickly pat his back in hopes of being able to help.

"What happened?!" He started panting and pointed towards the enchanted clock.

"It's." He gasped "eight o'clock." He coughed. "My sister's gonna kill me!"
