Warning: blood and violence.
This is it, the Slytherin vs Gryffindor match which everyone's been looking forward to this year. Students were screaming and cheering outside, waiting for the players to show themselves at last! Couldn't be better when my broom is brand new. It's a gift from Sir. Albus. We now scurried to our respective places once the announcer made the crowd roar again but despite all those weeks of preparation, my heart was beating wildly.
"Nervous?" The team captain asked me.
"A little." I sighed.
"Cheer up, it's only a game. Besides, it won't take long. Gryffindor will definitely lose against us." His confidence was bright though it still didn't do anything about my anxiety attack. Being too confident would only get our hopes up so I was already visualizing Slytherin's defeat! I've noticed the universe works like that for me. Once I took a deep breath to collect myself, I made a short glimpse behind me to check on Malfoy, and there he was, already greeting me with a smile that I responded to with a nod.
Honestly, though, this was a very important event for all the players since if we would be blessed with victory, an extra score would be added to our grades and mine is flopping down to the depths of hell.
Not only that but our housemates would have a chance to be saved if ever they fail at the upcoming exams. It just basically helps the students who need it but since too much benefit is being given away just like that, we have to do something to claim it in some way.
Godspeed to us.

"And now, (L/n) may be the only hope to bring an equal score to both sides, do you think she'll make it? She's getting closer! Will a miracle happen? Look what we have here folks! A bloody tie!" The crowd went wild and cheered, loud enough to have the players nearly deaf from up here. Our captain made a thumbs up from the other side of the pitch, his laughter wasn't audible but you could read every emotion on his face, he was happy to be given another chance
Not long after, raindrops rapidly began falling from the sky along with the grew clouds forming above us. A storm in the middle of the match? No please no, I would do anything to avoid such complications.
"Students and professors, I request all of you to go back to your respective seats, the game is not yet over despite the sudden change in the weather. Only one more round is needed to truly find out who the rightful winners are!" The announcer tried to calm the audience who now sheltered themselves with whatever was available.
"Merlin's beard, I would rather have a tie than to risk losing the last game," I muttered under my breath while wiping away the drops of water from my goggles. Maybe they should think this through first.
Abraxas gave me a shrug. Seems like I'm not the only one who thinks continuing is a bad idea in this downpour, but, why all of a sudden? The rainy season hasn't come yet and it's as if it would flood in a matter of minutes. In the rain blurring my vision, I took a good look at the commentator and quickly found something odd.
That person was new to the spot. Have they replaced the Jordan? If so, how come I haven't heard of this? So many things had occurred, we just lost a teammate because Abraxas accidentally sent a bludger to his face, it was painful to witness. Now a new player has entered his position but unfortunately, it was a first-year amateur who was scared and shivering the entire time.
