What in Godric's name was that? That never happened before and whatever he did made me feel weak. I don't know what to do when I'm around him anymore. While I walked past the students in the corridors, their eyes were embedded on my skin. Of course, I just made a nice scene earlier and who wouldn't be looking when I beat the hell out of Abraxas. Maybe I should apologise?...I'll think about it.

"(Y/n)! Are you alright?!" A voice called my name in the crowd of students. It was Demetrius and he was hurrying after me. "What were you thinking?! You could have gotten hurt!"

"I'm fine, really. Although I got detention after what happened earlier. I have no regrets though...at least for now."

He scanned my patched-up eye and let out a long sigh. "I'm not scared of what Abraxas might do now. I'm scared of how his parents are when they find out a muggle-born wrestled with their son."

"I don't want to know how this year's gonna end. A lot has been happening lately and I'm sure there's so much more chaos in the future."

"Let's not hope for that, love. Come on, let's go to class."

"Hold on a second. The professor wouldn't be pleased to see me for sure. Go on without me, I'll wait for the headmaster to send word." I sighed in hopes of not meeting face to face with Malfoy's parents. If he's already insufferable then the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Demetrius took ahold of my hand and placed a gentle kiss on my knuckles, his eyes met with mines, leading me to smile.

"I'll make sure to bring you cinnamon rolls in the evening."

"You don't have to. You worry too much about me that you often forget to look after yourself." I brushed my thumb on his cheek, taking a good look at his caring glance, now knowing that they were never meant for me in the first place. I don't know what brings us to part in the future but I'm certain that I lack the strength to hurt this boy in any way. He unknowingly tilted his head on my palm and the way he shows unconditional affection towards me without knowing that it will all go to waste.

"I can't help it, (Y/n). Oh—do you want me to walk you to the dorms?" He asked with the tone of eagerness in his voice.

I sadly sighed at the thought of disappointing his generous offer. "No need, Demetrius. I'm afraid you'll get late for class if you do."

"...Alright then, take care, darling. Get lots of rest for tomorrow if you must." While he began stuffing his books inside his bag, I couldn't help but wonder one thing. If the future had been telling the truth, how am I so confident It's not occurring now? what if what he's doing now is just a big show and I'm unknowingly letting it control me? What if Tom was right? It's unsettling to know if he was. Just when he was about to leave, I felt as if I couldn't be left unanswered.

"Wait!" Demetrius quickly halted in his steps and turned to me with his usual smile. Despite my longing to get even a single clue from him, I suddenly became weak just by the thought of asking him such a question.

"Yes? Is there something wrong?" How could I? Why would it bother me so much? As his partner shouldn't I trust him? All I could do was force a silly smile just to prevent him from suspecting anything.

"Ah!—my apologies, I forgot what I was supposed to say. Off you go, then, I'll tell you when I remember..."

"Brilliant. See you tomorrow, (n/n)." Before he could run off to class, I gave him a haste nod after parting ways with him. What in Godric's name am I doing, almost revealing hints of what I know now. That was unbelievably careless! Probably should be more careful next time rather than slipping knowledge out of my mouth.
