Reincarnation (Eren x Reader)

Chapter 8 {Initial}

"You know, I'm gonna be one of them someday! A hero!" You overheard a youthful boy telling his friend from the crowd. That young boy recalled you of Eren. There were so many who looked up to you and the rest of the Scouts, it got you inspired. The gate raised, and every Scout bolted on their horses. 

This was your initial mission. You never got to serve a mission when you weren't part of the scouts, so this would be vital if you come back alive from this mission with the scouts. 

"I hope Y/N'will do alright. If I lose her, there's no telling what I'll do next." Eren thought in his head as he tightened his grasp on the control of his horse. "I can't die. If I do, that will only bring misery to Y/N. I'm not letting anything happen to her." He said in his head again. "Eren!" One of the scouts charged, clutching Eren's notice. "Pay attention!" "Right." 

A titan was evolving your squad's way. "Switch to ODM!" Shouted your squad leader. You used your ODM gear as transportation from then on. You were doing fine until you saw a titan. When you saw the titan, your form went comatose, essentially paralyzed. Because of that, you lost command of your ODM gear and collapsed on the grass. "Y/N!" Eren called. You laid on the grass with a bleeding scalp, unconscious. 

"Eren come back! We need to stick to the plan!" your squad leader commanded. "I vowed I wouldn't let anything fall to Y/N." Eren broke the plan for you. By this time, he'd do anything just for you. As you laid yet unconscious on the grassy open field, Eren began touring his horse again and drew the rein on his horse, which made his horse stop travelling. "Y/N! Y/N?!" Eren put his head on your chest to listen to your pulsation. Your pulse was normal, and Eren shouted: "You're okay!" 

Your eyes were insignificantly clear, and your vision was extremely blurry. Even everything you heard was muffled. "You're going to be alright. Don't worry Y/N I'm here. You'll be alright. Trust me." He told you and transferred you onto the horse. He put himself on the horse and made your arms enclose around his waistline so that you wouldn't fall off. 

Eren was ready to catch up with his squad, and he made sure you were protected along the path. "Eren as I said, we all need to stick to the pla-" "No! I swore I'd never let anything happen to Y/N, and I'll keep that promise till the day I die!" Eren cut him off. The rest of the squad affiliates gazed at Eren because of the way he communicated to his leader like that. Eren overlooked the looks given to him and extended his way on. 

The next thing you know, you found yourself laying in a cart. You sat up and saw that you were yet exceeding the walls. "Eren?" You inquired, glancing at the blurry character beside you. Eren was resting, but quickly roused himself up when he noticed that you were awake.
