"She isn't here!" You worried, staring in the last room of the house. You then remembered that at this time she goes out to the market to get fruits. You appended your ODM gear to a building near the market and tried travelling with it, but it appeared that you were out of gas. "Damn it!" You shouted.

Instead, you ran. To make it simpler to run, you took off your ODM gear and left it out in the open. You took a look in the market and saw nobody there, along with no marks of blood or any lifeless bodies. "She... She's not here. I-It must mean that she got on the boat to safety, right?" You began walking near the boat to see if your mother got on, but on your way there you saw something. Something that you really didn't want to see. Her attire, hair, eyes.

Your mother's head laid right in front of you, and a slab on top of her beheaded body. Your face showed nothing but tears and fear. You let a sigh out, but that just led to you hyperventilating. Your breathing got heavier and heavier, then it was almost like your heart froze when you cried it all out.

"Y/N!" Eren ran as fast as he could to the sound of your scream. No matter what transpired, there was nothing you could do to stop yourself from screaming. Your knees leaked onto the ground, and you couldn't take your eyes off of your mother's corpse. Eren finally arrived and saw your mother's beheaded body with her head beside it. "That's... That's Y/N's mother..." Eren said in his head. He went to you and drew your head into his chest, and there you cried. Your stifled screams hurt Eren. He tried his best to comfort you. Eren honestly couldn't say that everything would be alright. Your mother was dead, laying right in front of you and Eren. He embraced you, rubbing your head with his trembling hands while staring at your mother's corpse.

Soon enough, you stopped screeching and it just turned into sniffles from the tears that ran down your face. The vision of your mother wouldn't get out of your head. You cried until you couldn't any longer. You would habitually space yourself out from others and would use that time to cry or gaze at a wall in your room. You caught a knock on your door, and you thought to go answer it.

"Can I help you?" You modestly said. Eren took a look at your light and emotionless face. "I-It's breakfast time... Aren't you gonna eat?" You hadn't been to the dining hall in a while. The last time you ate was a day ago at night. You were hungry but didn't have the courage to eat. "Come on. Let's go eat breakfast together." Eren said, and gently held your hand as he led you to the dining hall. "Thank you." You thanked as you looked at the bread Eren got you. Since you haven't eaten in two days, of course, you ate the bread immediately.

Eren and the rest tried to help you by gripping your mind off of your mother's loss. They brought you outside to enjoy yourself, and to try to have fun. They also invited you frequently to train with them. You grew closer with the others. This took you back to your bright character, which made the others happy.

You had just come back from a small mission, glad that nobody died. On the night of that day, there were no clouds, meaning that the stars and the moon were going to be visibly displayed that night.

To take a more genuine look at it, you went on top of the wall and laid on your back, gazing at the starry sky. Eren joined you and laid down alongside you. "Hey... Eren, what do you think passed to that abnormal we were fighting?" You bid, out of nowhere. Eren answered: "I don't know. It just moved back into the titan forest." Eren turned his head to look at you. A few seconds later, you turned your head toward Eren to look at him, but your lips unexpectedly joined his. You sat up seeking to conceal your face and sputtered: "Ah! I-I'm sorry! Tha-" Eren sat up and put his hand on the side of your face and made his lips match yours.
