Reincarnation (Eren x Reader)

Chapter 3 {Trost}

"Oh no! It's alright! I mean you've previously paid for his medication and all, so you don't need to do anything else!" 

Your mother and Eren's mother became good friends, and the same went for your father and Eren's father. 

"The Scouts are back! Come on Y/N let's go see them!" Eren grasped your hand and pulled you where there were several people giving way for The Scout Regiment to cross through. "You know Y/N, I'm gonna become one of them one day!" Eren told you. You were shocked that he desired to enter such a risky job, a job that you also desired to do. You knew that joining the Military Survey Corps wouldn't be relaxed at all. 

As The Scouts came into Shiganshina on their horses, your face and Eren's face shone up with inspiration. But your faces stopped gleaming when you saw many people screaming and weeping because their loved ones didn't show up back home. 

"You know Eren, joining The Scouts is a really dangerous job. I'm not telling you to not join them because I wanna join the-" You were cut off by Eren who stated: "You wanna join them too?" Eren gave you a big grin because he was pleased that he wasn't the only one who aspired to take such a critical job. To keep the state among you two, you responded with: "Yeah! I wanna take every last titan so this world will finally be peaceful!" You cheered. 

At age 8, a Titan overran Shiganshina. Luckily, the survey corps were capable of taking down the titan who invaded. Though, your mother believed that Shiganshina wasn't a secure area to stay in anymore, so she intended to take you and your father to a place safer, Trost District. 

"So, I guess I'll see you later?" Eren charged before you embarked on the boat and departed to go to your new home. "I'll see you later. I hope to see you in the survey corps, Eren." You told and put your hand to his heart. You put your foot on the boat but stopped moving onward. You ran back to Eren and sheltered your arms around his torso. "I promise I'll see you again Y/N!" He yelled as he observed you wave your hands from the departing boat. 

"You like it?" Your father asked you as he showed you your room. It was dark and dry. "Hey, I'm sorry it's not much Y/N, but this is the only place we can afford to stay at right now..." As you looked into the dim room, you told your father: "It's okay with me!" 

You went outside to go explore and saw a big patch of grass. So many things in Trost recalled you of the places in Shiganshina you and Eren explored. 

"Happy birthday to you! Blow out your candles, Y/N!" It's your 9th birthday, and it didn't feel the same when Eren wasn't there to celebrate with you. 

A few days later, you sat your mother and father down at the table to speak about something. "What's it you wanted to talk about?" Your mother requested.
