Reincarnation (Eren x Reader)

Chapter 11 {Locket}

(As I said from the Christmas Special chapter, the locket would be part of the main story.)

Eren visited you in Hange's office where you rested, and where Hange took custody of your injuries. "I'm sorry... I-I got this for you." Eren left a small box and a card on Hange's office desk and led gradually to exit the room. Once he exited the room, you opened the card first. 

"I gave it to you so that just in case we're on different squads for our forthcoming mission, I'll be there with you. I know this doesn't alter anything, but I hope you'll forgive me for hurting your face. From, Eren." You had a little smile while studying the card. 

You raised the cover of the small box and there sat a locket, with a photo of Eren grinning inside of it. Your eyes shined at the scene of this locket. Eren dragged his feet along the wooden lumber on the ground while he stepped back to the dining hall to finish up his breakfast. 

"Eren! Eren!" You called his name. You paced and once you caught up to him, you embraced him from behind. "Thank you!" 

In most people's perceptions, a locket wouldn't imply so much to them. I mean, it's just a photo in a necklace. But to you, this meant everything. You had only learned of lockets but never got the occasion to ever see one or get one. Back then when you were yet in your world of peace, nobody understood of lockets. In fact, it didn't even exist. But when you entered this world, you learnt about lockets and was very amazed by it. You were so fortunate to see a locket, and best of all, you accepted it from Eren. 

He glanced back at you and laughed because you were happy. 

While you were exercising outside, Jean stopped by and apologized. Of course, you forgave him with your words and a smile, and he was flustered. 

Your next mission was coming up, and you expected the best that you wouldn't chicken out on this one. "Are you convinced she should come on the expected mission? Last time she failed to use ODM as transportation and essentially broke the plan with her squad." You eavesdropped from a conference Captain Levi and Commander Erwin were in. "She requires to be there for Eren," Erwin told. "Well, she can't be there for Eren if she's out cold!" Levi commenced shouting, maybe the people in the cabin next door could've heard him. "If everyone is gonna think of me as weak, then I should train harder. I'll show them that I'm not just delicate." 

The future mission was in 2 weeks, and using those days within weeks you did so much. To keep yourself from flowing away from Eren, you ordinarily encouraged him to train with you if he was open. 

Commander Erwin was seeing you do additional exercise late at night in the forest. You ripped off the nape of a fraudulent titan and docked flawlessly. "Shouldn't you be resting?" Erwin bid right when your heels met the ground. "Pardon me. I'll go to bed now."
