Beastboy quickly stumbled out of his bed with the vivid images still flashing in his mind. He had a strange mixture of anxiety and panic as he pulled on a white shirt and snuck out the door. He quickly transformed into a cheetah and quietly sprinted down the hall and stopped in front of the door. Quickly shuffling back into his human form. He quietly tapped the door with the knuckle of his pointer finger. No answer. He gently pushed the door open and saw Raven sound asleep in bed. He silently stalked in and sat on the edge of her bed and watched her sleep.

Starfire sat alone in her room, getting a little too deep into her thoughts. She had an uneasy feeling tonight which caught her off guard. She knew Nightwing was busy so she didn't bother him with this anxiety but something was off and she couldn't place her finger on it. She hadn't been in her room too long since watching Nightwing on the rooftop with Raven but she couldn't shake the anguish painted in her memory. She felt the fatigue wash over her but her brain bolted from one worry to the next. She got up to do something she normally wouldn't do.

Nightwing took a deep breath and sat down in the hospital wing next to Cyborg who was perched on a stool, writing in Damien's charts.
"You okay?" Cyborg glanced over at the tired, puffy, unmasked eyes of his friend. It was a relatively new sight to see Nightwing without a mask but nothing was a surprise these days.
"Yeah..." Nightwing paused thinking about what he was about to say. "I'll need to leave for a few days." He whispered before clearing his throat to continue, "...the twins passed away."
"Nooooooooo. I'm sorry man!" Cyborg spoke softly.
"Starfire and Raven saw me find out, so, they know now." Nightwing grumbled quietly.
"It was only a matter of time. They were your world." Cyborg sighed as he got up to put the filled out chart on the nightstand. Damien lay quietly in his sleep. His previous whereabouts where still a mystery to them.
"Damien is all I have left now. He's my adopted cousin by Bruce but he doesn't know we're blood cousins. He doesn't know who his dad was." Nightwing whispered.
"No way..." Cyborg whispered as he sat back down next to Nightwing.
"I gotta do better. I gotta protect him." Nightwing finished off as he stood up. He pulled the blanket up over Damien's bandaged chest and left Cyborg to his thoughts.

Starfire made it to the top step of the of the stairwell before pushing the door to the roof open. She stood to the morning sky, letting the chill nip her skin. She took a step towards the edge, closed her eyes, and let herself fall off the edge.

Beastboy in cat form lay silent on the edge of Raven's bed as she stirred in her sleep. He tried to sleep next to her but he was concerned by how much tossing and turning she was doing. She let out a pained groan as she hunched into a fetal position. She jolted awake as a jar across the room cracked. Panting, she stared into the green kitten's eyes in front of her. She got up without a word, pulled on her cloak and floated out of the room with her hood up.

She locked the door of the bathroom behind her as she stared into the reflection of her eyes in the mirror.
"Just two eyes..." she mumbled to herself with a sign of relief. She rummaged through the cabinet behind the mirror and found one of Bee's unopened  pregnancy tests. Taking a deep breath, she sat down and read the box. "Dammit!" She muttered as she got to the line that read it was way too soon to take the test. Suddenly, a wave of nausea hit her like a ton of bricks and she scrambled to kneel in front of the open toilet. She heard a soft knock as she threw up. She groaned as Beastboy quietly opened the door. He spotted the unopened pregnancy test on the floor.

"Rae, what's going on?" Beastboy shut the door behind him and sat on the floor next to her. She opened her mouth to talk but all she could do was throw up again.

"It's too early to tell." She mumbled as she leaned back into Beastboy's arms. A chill hit her with a fresh set of goosebumps as he wrapped his arms around her. "I'm worried that if I am..." she trailed off.
Beastboy squeezed her tight with his eyes closed, confirming his nightmare.

She could be dying right now...

Or worse...

After a bit of silence, Beastboy scooped Raven up in his arms and took her to bed. She looked weak and her eyes looked sallow. She shivered as he got out some extra blankets from her closet. He tucked her in and left to go make some tea.

Damien slowly opened his eyes to the blinding lights of the hospital wing. His groan alerted Cyborg who paged Nightwing immediately.

"Ohhhhhshiiiiiiit." Damien groaned trying to open his eyes again. His head pondered and his ears rang. He tried to sit up but the burning pain in his chest stopped him. Nightwing ran into the room in his uniform as Damien struggled to keep his eyes open.

Nightwing handed Damien a cup of water and Cyborg helped him sit up to drink it. Damien chugged it so fast he choked on the last bit. Pain racked his chest as he coughed the water out of his lungs. He was about to use the back of his hand to wipe his face when he noticed the IV drip and started to panic.

"Dick! You gotta get this out of me! Now!!" He closed at the IV tube inside the flesh of his hand. He panic as he heart rate shot up. "I can't do this! I can't do this!" He mumbled as he pulled on the IV. Nightwing grabbed his arm and held the IV in his skin and taped it down.

"Damien, this has to stay in you! I know you hate needles, but this will help!" Nightwing shouted as Cyborg helped ease his body back into the bed. Damien was terrified but all he could do was try to slow his breathing.

"I feel it in my skin!" Damien jerked but stayed trapped in the grips of Cyborg and Nightwing. Cyborg strapped his arms down to the bed as Nightwing kept him down. "PLEASE PLEASE LET ME GOOOOO!" Damien's voice rose to hysteric levels. Cyborg prepared a shot of a sedative to calm him down but the teen writhed in the restrains. "No no no no! Please Dick! Please!" He cried out as he felt the prick in his arm. A cool sensation rushed over his body as a sense of relief dulled his pounding heart. He kept his groggy eyes fixed on Nightwing until they slid shut. Nightwing sat and lightly scratched Damien's head through the inky hair as he slept.
