The next day, Raven quickly realized how inconvenient not having the use of your right hand or having the ability to direct her powers could be. She started the day trying to change clothes, she was mostly successful until it came down to closing the clasp of her bra. She tried her best to hook her bra without waking Beastboy but her rouge powers exploded a pillow in frustration. Beastboy woke to a shower of feathers and a topless Raven clutching a black bra to cover her chest.
"Do you need help?" Beastboy snickered as her face turned red.
"No!" Raven protested stubbornly as he got up to help her. He grabbed the two straps and fastened it gently, barely brushing her back with his cold fingertips. She immediately got goosebumps and exploded her other pillow which Beastboy jump.
"What do you have against pillows!?" Beastboy laughed which only made Raven more flustered.
"See this?" Raven hissed as she held up her bandaged hand, "This is my antenna! Without my hands to direct, my powers won't discriminate between a pillow or your head!" She growled before storming out of the room. Beastboy stifled his laugh as he followed her to the kitchen. Raven internally vowed to ask Bumblebee or Starfire for the rest of her help.
The following days droned by slowly until Raven could finally get her stitches removed. Sitting in the hospital room, she watched as Cyborg worked swiftly to cut and pluck each thread. Then, Cyborg presses along the scars to feel for any unusual pains. She felt the pain from the cuts and the swelling but no sharp stabs or numbness which was a wonderful sign. Lastly Cyborg tested her hand's range of motion. With the swelling, finger movement was limited but he expected that to come back with time. He was more concerned about her wrist mobility and making sure no tendons were damaged. After passing with flying colors, he allowed Raven to perform a healing spell to speed up the recovery and get back into action as long as she did so carefully.
As the week went on, Raven's hand was back to normal, with a few small scars along her palm. She returned to training and even fought in a small battle with Dr. Light with only the occasional ache or pain. With the accident behind her, she cooled off of kissing Beastboy until she could figure out how to keep her powers in check. Beastboy was sad but also supportive of this decision.
With Bumblebee starting to get back into the swing of being pregnant, the Titans took extra precautions to keep word of her pregnancy within the tower. Not even Titan's East was allowed to hear the news. Cyborg secretly suspected a leak in Jinx but until he had definitive proof, he kept his theories to himself. Bee started to enjoy the turtleneck top, especially with her changing body. She was only two months along but it hid any sort of bloat well. Cyborg had fitted the sleek fabric with poison sensors so she would be alarmed before it could be inhaled or absorbed through her skin. He also fitted the sensors to his systems so he'd be alerted the second it detected a poison. With a lot less travel, Bee and Cyborg found it easier to relax and enjoy their time together. Bee was a mixture of excited and scared, while Cyborg protectiveness had grown exponentially.
Nightwing and Starfire hadn't set a date for their wedding. They wanted to get through a few external stressors before they settled down themselves. With crime picking up and Slade on the loose, Nightwing wouldn't feel comfortable leaving the tower to take care of the Tamaranian marriage customs quiet yet, especially with Bee being a target. One positive that did come out of this excess time was their ability to bond more. The two kept a weekly date night where they ate alone on the rooftop.
Even with the increasing crime rate, everyone in the tower seemed to be finding their rhythm. Time passed quickly and crime fighting became a daily activity, almost replacing training all together. Everyone except Bee was overworked and the workload was starting to wear on them. No one could figure out why crime had picked up so rapidly, especially since Slade was nowhere to be seen.
Weeks turned to months and the Titans found themselves in winter. Everyone was running ragged. The only Titan that could help was not only handling Titans global but also 6 months pregnant with a healthy baby boy. She was completely exhausted and finding herself wearing out before the day was over. Beastboy and Raven were so busy that they didn't have time to confront their situation. Every night, Beastboy would come to Raven's room and the two would pass out before any dangerous thoughts would come to fruition. While it bothered Beastboy, he cared too much for Raven to push her away. Damien was feeling the strain of the new schedule the most. Damien was still a kid in a tower full of adults. The closest person to his age was Beastboy but there was still an age gap there. Damien began to find entertainment outside of the tower without anyone noticing.
