The car ride home was awkward. George and Dream sat in silence in the back, staring out the windows away from each other, and Sapnap and Techno whispered silently in the front. It was the worst George had felt in a while. A mixture of fear, love, and anxiety. His mind racing around what possibly made Dream back off. Who cares though. Maybe Dream didn't want it.

When they got home George quickly jumped out of the car and stuffed his hands in his hoodie pockets.

"I need some fresh air" he told the others as he began walking down the driveway. He didn't really want to be out here. He knew where he wanted to be. But right now he couldn't bring himself to go there. It wasn't even a big deal but he felt bad.

The air around him was warm and Dreams road looked different at night. The stars above him twinkled as he looked up.
George remembered the park he had seen when he first came, there was a small wooden table he could sit on when he got there.
That's exactly what he did. The days events and barely any sleep left George exhausted and he collapsed onto the table as soon as he arrived, sinking his head into his hands. His breathing was shakey and slow as he tried to calm himself. Thoughts rushed through his mind. If they were good or bad he couldn't tell.
Finally he brought himself together. Over thinking a subject was a big problem for George and he couldn't help it whenever something important like this happened. A few hours ago he could've been sitting there on the beach in front of the moonlight, kissing Dream to the peaceful sound of waves.
George sighed and pushed himself up. Looking around one last time at the night sky before walking home quickly before anyone got worried.

It was late and as George got closer to Dreams house he noticed it was one of the only ones that still had lights on. He thought that they might have gone to sleep by now. (Almost an hour had passed since George went on a walk)
But as he walked down the driveway he heard the soft hum of music. He was confused. Sapnap and Techno usually listened to music but not the type that was playing and Dream had told him a lot about how much he hates music and doesn't have the time anyway.

(Play bubblegum by Clairo around here for the best experience)

He got to the front door and quietly opened it trying not to scare whoever was listening to it. George finally heard the words making him pause for a moment to listen.
Sorry I didn't kiss you.... but it's obvious I wanted too.
George froze. His heat beating in his throat. He could hear it thumping as he silenced himself. Who was listening to this?
He crept around the corner of the kitchen and leaned against the wall as he saw Dream sitting on the couch next to a speaker.
Dream? He thought. Why was he listening to music. And the lyrics. The rest of the song he hadn't focused on but the first two lines. Did they mean something. Surely Dream had meant it since he never listened to music.

"Did you really want to?" George asked quietly, butterflies swarming his stomach again. Dream turned his head slowly. He smiled back at George.

"Sit down" he said nodding to the couch next to him. George walked over and sat down. He felt less nervous being close to Dream. George looked him in the eyes.

"I didn't expect you to be back just then but I guess it was perfect timing" said Dream, keeping eye contact with George. His heart beating loudly.

"Did it mean something Dream. Did you purposely want me to hear it?" George asked.

"I got overwhelmed George, I wasn't ready at the time. It could've been perfect that's why I'm saying sorry" Dream whispered. George quickly looked around to see if Sapnap and Techno were there.

"Don't worry they're asleep" said Dream as he followed George's gaze. George smiled at him.

"Don't be sorry Dream. I'll never rush you. No matter how much I want it I'll take my time" he said to Dream. Hoping that he wouldn't have to take his time.

"When you went for a walk I had time to think as well" said Dream staring straight at George. "Do you know what I thought of George?" He asked. George looked into his green eyes. He could see the excitement as the sparkled in the light. Butterflies swarmed his stomach.

"What did you think about Dream?" George whispered. Dream smiled, his perfect smile that made George smile even bigger and blush more than before. He giggled.

"I thought about how good my lips would be on yours". And it happened fast. George was looking at Dream in disbelief before he was pulled in close. He tilted his head and closed his eyes as his lips parted at touched Dreams. They were soft and smooth. A warmth spread through George's body and he grabbed onto Dreams waist and they sat embraced. George couldn't have pictured it any better. He never wanted to pull away. He wanted this to last forever. George kissed Dream more passionately and pulled him closer hoping Dream would do the same. He did. He grabbed George's shirt with one hand and neck with the other, holding him close.

It felt like hours. The adrenaline in George kept him going. Knowing that Dream felt the same as George made his heart melt. He enjoyed every moment of their kiss his eyes opened once to see Dreams face, relaxed and kissing him back with passion before closing them again to give it his all. He forgot anything he was worried about. All he needed was to be here with Dream. Nothing else mattered. The world faded around him it felt like he was alone with Dream embraced together.

When it finally ended and they broke apart. The world came spinning back. George was sitting on top of Dream, his legs down either side. He looked directly at Dream. They were both blushing and extremely tired.
George rolled over and turned to stare out the window.

"I love you Dream" he whispered into the small breeze, letting the words slip off his tongue silently and hoping Dream wouldn't hear.

"I love you George" he was sure Dream had said it. Even if the he had just imagined it that didn't matter. The words were enough. Enough to fill George with joy again and turn him into jelly. He felt Dream stand up from next to him. George turned and looked at Dream as he stretched out his arms, muscles ripped from his biceps. George smiled again. How much had he smiled lately, a lot more around Dream.

"Goodnight George" Dream smiled and grabbed George's hand pulling him into a quick hug in which George rested his head on Dreams chest.

"Goodnight Dream" George whispered back as he let go and walked into his room.

The bed was soft and felt like it fit George perfectly. It felt like he was melting into the bed. He was overwhelmed but with happiness. The feelings over the kiss rolled around on his tongue. It tingled, he wanted more.

George quickly pulled out his phone and searched up the lyrics of the song Dream was listening to.
Sorry I didn't kiss you.... But it's obvious I wanted to.
Bubblegum. He listened to the song three times before falling asleep to it on repeat, again snuggling into the pillow that smelt like Dream.
