Chapter 5 - Diamond Ring

It was the day of the wedding...

George woke up. He dreamt of the figure again. This time however the face wasn't blurred and Dreams image replaced it. The kiss was passionate and more affectionate this time. George remembered clearly pulling Dream close and Dream gripping his hair....
He blushed at the thought. A calming feeling had flowed through George last night when he finally let himself open to the thought of loving Dream. But he was still scared. Scared that Dream would hate him for it. How was George meant to tell Dream how he felt.
Dread was in his blood this morning however. Fundy was proposing to Dream today and even though it was just a fun Minecraft activity George didn't like that it had to be Fundy. Why couldn't it be him and Dream.
George rolled his eyes. Why was he so wound up about a fake wedding. It shouldn't matter that much.

Slowly George pulled himself out of bed and pulled on a fresh T - shirt. He had to stream today even though he wasn't in the mood. The monitor hummed to life as George switched on his Pc and opened discord. Everyone was already in a call. He had slept in again.

"George why do you sleep so long" Dream said as soon as George joined the call. 

"Shut up" George laughed. But he couldn't help but feel his stomach flip.

"Alright calm down boys let's stream" said Sapnap.

Everyone agreed and George turned on his stream. "Hi guys, welcome back.. today we are going to spend the day in Fundys new restaurant".

Soon everyone had logged onto the server and were gathered at the the restaurant or as Fundy had called it L'restaurant. George admired the decorations they had setup a few days ago. He had also downloaded a shader pack to make the place look more calm and warm. 

The chat was going crazy. They had no idea what was about to happen. Messages read Ooo a shader pack, is something special happening :)  and lots of Pogs. George smiled and tried not to look down on stream. He kept forgetting his face cam was on and found chat asking why he looked so sad. "I'm fine" he would say. 

Finally night fell in Minecraft. It was time. Dream and Fundy had been "chatting" all day in the restaurant and they had enjoyed a dinner of cooked beef. Fundy got up and lead Dream out with all the Dream smp members following behind giggling.

"Tonight was a very good night Dream" said Fundy handing over a flower. Now chat was going crazy. George began to feel sad again.

"It was Fundy, you did an amazing job" Dream laughed.

"All thanks to George", Fundy's character turned to George. He nodded. "I mean just a bit of decoration but other than that it was all Fundy" said George trying not to sound monotone as he read the script. Fundy turned back to Dream.

"I have one last thing for you Dream" said Fundy casually, although George could hear the nervousness in his voice. George sighed. It was gonna happen. 

"What do you mean?" Dream asked.

"I had a great night and I think this is the perfect place to ask you a very special question"

"Ask me anything"... George watched. Making sure to keep control of his facial expressions.

Fundy crouched and held the diamond in his hand.

"Dream... Will you marry me?"

"Omg Fundy" Dream wheezed. "O - okay!" Dream said quickly and logged off on cue. Everyone laughed along with Fundy. It was done. They were going to get married. 

George quickly ended his stream and thanked all the excited people for coming. A few messages in chat caught his eye. Aw are you jealous George :)  and aw dreamnotfound is falling apart lol. George smiled and logged off. The days had been going fast, it was almost night in real life again. He turned off his computer and jumped onto his bed. His heart was beating and his mind kept flickering to images of Dream. He had been sent more pictures of Dreams face the following nights leading up to the proposal as well. 

Georges phone buzzed. Dream had sent another image. He opened snapchat and saw it was just a black screen that read. Streaks hahaha bet you thought it would be me. George turned off his phone. His heart sunk. How much he wanted to see Dream. To see Clay. To hold him like he held him in his dream. The press lips and share the warmth that George constantly felt even when just listening to his voice. Why had he suddenly fallen in love with his best friend. It scared him to think about what might happen if Dream found out. He needed to tell someone.

George picked up his phone and opened his messages with Sapnap.

Hi Sapnap

Hi Gogy whats up. George rolled his eyes.

Idk lol I don't know how to to explain without sounding weird.

Oooo Is it about Dream haha, have the lovebirds finally fallen.

Shut up idiot

Come on George I know you well. You've been acting strange around him lately.

Well I guess.

So?

I like him Sapnap. And not just as friends. As soon as I moved here the fact that we are so much closer now made me feel different. George hesitated before pressing send. 

Sapnap began typing then stopped. It took a moment of George thinking he said something wrong before he replied.

Gogy that adorable. He hated Sapnap. Not really.

I'm being serious Sapnap. But I don't wanna ruin our friendship. What if he hates me for it.

Trust me George he won't. Let's talk later. Sapnap replied instantly.

k bye. George said. He turned off his phone and took a deep shuddering breath. Would Dream hate him. He had no idea. But he did now how desperate he was for the the Dream to become real. He wanted to kiss Dream badly but he didn't want to admit it.
