"George!" Dream said and rushed around to George's side, gently leaning in and giving George a small hug then held his cold shaking hands. George felt a tear fall down his cheek. He was back, and Dream was with him.

"What happened?" George murmured and pushed himself up to a sitting position, his head ached.
Dream stared into George's eyes.

"You nearly died George" he said, his voice wobbly. George looked into Dreams loving eyes. He slowly moved his vision down to his lips. The lips that Fundy had kissed. Another tear fell.

"You.... you kissed him Dream". He whispered, looking down at the blankets.

"George I...." he stuttered. The pain in his words were obvious. "He told me something George... he said you didn't want us. That it was too much, I thought I had lost you" Dream said. George felt his broken heart flip. He looked back at Dream who still had his eyes locked on him.

"I never said that Dream, you know I would never, but you fell for it." George said. He didn't believe that Dream would've thought it was true. How did he not recognize how false Fundys words were.

"I didn't know what to think George. I was stunned." Dream said, he finally looked away at the door, his eyes shiny.

"I was right there Dream. I saw it" George said, the unbearable pain returned to his chest and memories of the gunshot returned. "I tried Dream, tried to believe that what I saw wasn't real.... I tried to hold on. But I gave up" he whispered staring at his hands ashamed. A tear slipped down his cheek. He had let himself go. Dreams feelings hadn't mattered to him at the time. He had been selfish.

"You gave up..." Dream repeated slowly looking back at George. "Don't cry George, it's not your fault" he added quickly when he saw George wipe away the tear. George blushed as Dreams hand gently touched his cheek. It was soothing.

"I'm sorry Dream" he said, another tear sliding down his cheek sending a shiver down his spine.

"Don't be George, you had every right to give up. I shouldn't have done it." Said Dream, he moved closer to George and stood next to him. George sighed. "But you're here now, and that's all that matters. I will never ever let you go again." he said, brushing Georges forehead. He felt comforted. Dreams touched soothed his aching body. Like it was repairing him.

"Times up mate, time for your other friend to have a quick talk" said a doctor from the doorway. George looked into Dreams eyes.

"I'll never leave you" Dream repeated, his face serious. He looked deep into Georges eyes. "Remember that.... It'll be us, forever", and with a nervous smile Dream turned and left. George rolled the words around on his tongue. Forever... He believed Dream.

A small shuffle next to the door brought his attention back. George felt his hands shake again. It was Sapnap.

"What do you want" he mumbled and looked down. He heard a shaky sigh.

"Please let me talk" Sapnap said, his voice had a tinge of urgency.

"I know what happened, and we've already talked" George said impatiently.

"George please." Sapnap begged. George looked at his face. His eyebrows were furrowed and small bags hung under his eyes. Stress marks danced around his face.

"If you have something useful to say go ahead" George said angrily. He was frustrated. Sapnap sighed again.

"I felt left out. Because Dream was dumping all his feelings onto me. I had to keep the secret. And... and just when I thought it was over, you started doing the same thing." George felt strange. Just when he thought it was over? Did Dream have feelings for him before George moved to New York? "I couldn't take the pressure. I was hiding something from both of you and I felt left out that you both had someone and if anything happened then I would be the one ignored. So... so... I called Fundy" Sapnap whispered. George could tell he was embarrassed. Embarrassed that he had even had the the thought of damaging his closest friends relationship. George couldn't speak.

"I told him not to use violence George, I told him not to hurt you, but he used me. He used me to get with Dream. And as soon as I figured that out I came to find you George" he rushed, anger and fear filled his voice. "I couldn't lose you" he said. George saw his eyes glistening. It hurt George. He knew that Sapnap didn't mean it to end up like this. But he also knew that there wasn't any other way Fundy would have done it. Obviously Sapnap would have seen it coming.

"You knew" George said, "You knew that Fundy liked Dream, and you knew that I wouldn't let Dream go, how else would he have got rid of me? It wasn't simple Sapnap. You could've killed me. But I came back for Dream. Because of what I felt for him. I didn't come back to forgive the people that did this to me." George felt his throat go numb. He had pulled the trigger. Something had snapped inside Sapnap. It was obvious in his face. The fear that darkened his eyes.

"George... I" he stammered. His voice was hurt.

"Leave Sapnap, you've caused enough pain" George said, looking away as a tear blurred his vision. He heard the door close. George lay his head onto the pillow behind him and took a shuddering breath, letting the tears roll down. Was that it? Had he just forced one of his closest friends out of his life? George felt his heart beating slowly, pumping blood that he didn't deserve. He wished he could leave. Go back to the strange dark place and choose the other option. But he couldn't leave Dream, so he would have to find a way to deal with Sapnap. Even if that meant that the past days would be stuck in his head forever. Traumatizing every second of his life.
