BREAKING BOUNDARIES (An RM Fan-fiction)

Chapter 3

I slept through the day, woke up around 23:00 pm, spoke to my parents and Tracey. She bombarded me with questions about the country, the people, the food , half of which I don't know the answers to. She held me on the phone for two hours straight. That girl never gets tired of talking.

After talking to Tracey and messaging a few more people, I used the rest of the night to unpack a few things that I might need whilst staying at the hotel.
I was done by Four O'clock in the morning.
I wasn't sleeping at all, I slept the whole day. To kill time, I decided to do some reading. That's one thing that really keeps me company and relaxed at the same time.

(Later That Day)
Bzzzzzzzzzzzz. Buzzzzzzzz.
A buzzing sound from my phone woke me up. I reached for my phone on the nightstand without opening my eyes.

"Hello?" I said after I slid to answer the phone call. I didn't bother to check who was calling. I was still sleepy .

"You're gonna move to a whole new continent without a goodbye?" Damon!

Oh God! This boy.
I immediately recognized the voice of my ex boyfriend. He just would follow me to my grave.

"Hi Damon". I muttered, pissed that he cut my sleep short.

"You could've just said Goodbye yunno, we aren't enemies Bri." he said through the phone.

I'm really mentally slapping myself for picking this phone call. I honestly do not want anything to do with this guy. I've gone past the angry stage but I just can't stand him anymore. Why didn't I check the caller ID?

"Damon, can you stop calling me please. We had this conversation- " I started saying when he chirped in.

"What conversation? You told me you were gonna move to Asia?" He asked.

"A conversation about us not talking ever again. I don't want to get involved in your love triangles and all the extras. Just be good. I'm okay." I said before hanging up my phone.
I'm sure blocking him.

Damon has a cheating history. I couldn't deal with all of it anymore. We've been together for three years and it was a great relationship for the most part. But later on, things started going bad, the cheating, the lies and the petty fights. He just isn't cut for anything serious and I do not play. I'd rather stay single. I wouldn't mind.

I got off bed and went to the toilet, I had my shower. I have to go to the hotel restaurant to have my breakfast since I'm already up. I also need to go to the University for registration.

I decided to just have my outfit of the day on.
I threw on a corset blouse, and underboob jumper and nicely fitted sweatpants all in the color beige. I have on my ankle high sock boots, did my hair and my make up then headed down. I'll head straight to school after eating.

I got to the restaurant and ordered my food as soon as the waitress came. I ordered toasts with eggs and some coffee.

It's didn't take me long to finish my breakfast. I asked the waitress to call me an Uber to drive me to school. After a short while, the waitress called me out to get to the car.

"Good Morning! Where are you going to Miss?" the Uber driver asked as soon as I got on.

"Hanyang University please". I answered and he nodded.

Fifteen minutes later, we were at the university campus. It's not really far from the hotel, I was dreading a long drive but thankfully it just took us a few minutes.

"How much is it? I have foreign currency and a bank card. I could just swipe if you've got a POS." I suggested.

"Yes I have a POS. The fee is 14,000 won." I made the payment with my card, which is way easier than asking how much 14 grand Korean won is, in Pounds.
I told the driver to wait for me so he can drive me back to the hotel.

I need an apartment as soon as possible and most importantly I need a car. I'll look into them when I get back to my suite.

I went to the school reception office and was ushered to my course advisor's office. I knocked on the door and heard someone say something in Korean. I took that as a permission to go in.

"Good Morning, I'm here to see Dr. Kang please." I said with a nervous smile.

"You're Brianna Jones, the transfer student from the University of London. Have a seat please. I got a call from your School a few days ago." She said with the brightest smile I've seen since I stepped foot in Seoul. I'm so glad she's this nice and fluent in English.

"Yes Ma'am, that would be me". I replied.

"Okay, school has started and you're going to have to start as soon as possible. Your courses have been outlined already. I'll just call in someone from the same courses as you to be your guide around campus." She said while dialing a number on the telephone and then typing on her computer.

"Alright, that's no problem. I'd love to start tomorrow." I replied.

She nodded and started speaking on the phone in Korean. I awkwardly sat there not knowing a single thing she was saying.

The door opened and in came a girl with long black hair and a quite pretty face. She walked in straight to Dr. Kang's desk. Dr. Kang was explaining something to her, I could tell it was about me.

"Hello, I'm Jennie Kim. Nice to meet you. I'll be your guide around campus." She said to me with a warm smile on her face.

"Oh, Hi. I'm Brianna Jones. Great meeting you too." I replied, returning her smile.

I would say this girl looks badass or savage in appearance but her smile and voice when she speaks says otherwise.

"Okay Brianna, that's it. All your courses, timetable and classroom information would be uploaded on the Student information system online. You can contact me by email or come to my office if you have any other questions here-forth." Dr. Kang said to me.

"Alright, thank you so much, I'll do so, bye." I said, leaving the office with Jennie leading the way.

We walked towards the school entrance, gaining a few stares from sets of people.

"British huh?" Jennie spoke, suddenly.

"Yeah, I can pick an accent from you too." I said, carefully.

"Australian, I love your hair. You're cute. I guess it won't be bad being your guide after all, I usually don't like being bothered." She said with what seemed like honesty in her voice.

"Oh, I'll try as much as possible to not bother you, thank you, you're pretty too." I said, chuckling a bit. It's not like I needed a guide anyway, let's just see where we go from here, I thought to myself.

"I'll see you off to your car or something, I have to get to my next class."

"Yeah, my Uber would be at the lot, thank you." I said to her.

We walked silently to the lot, I waved at the driver and waited as he drove from his parking spot to where we were standing. He came over to open the door for me.

"Alright Jennie, I'll see you around tomorrow." I said to her.

"Maybe have my number and call me if you get here?" She said to me.

I took out my phone and handed it to her. She saved her number on my phone as "Jen Kim". I dialed the number on FaceTime to share my contact with her.

"Hug?" She asked, opening her arms.

"Sure!"  I said, smiling at her cute gesture.

We hugged and laughed at ourselves. I entered the car and waved her bye as it drove away.
