Chapter 37

Namjoon

I was woken up by someone stirring next to me. At first I couldn't think of who and then I remembered I spent the night at Brianna's house. I slowly sat up as she kept moving, like she was having a nightmare or something, I couldn't figure it out. I tapped her lightly and she groaned, turning her head a bit towards me.

"You okay? You're stirring alot. Are you having a nightmare?" I asked, I couldn't see her face clearly through the darkness but I could tell she's woken up now.

"No, I'm just cramping so bad. It's my period." She said slowly. "Sorry I woke you up". She said again as she stood up from the bed.

"Oh, sorry baby. You need anything?" I asked as she headed towards the bathroom.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine. Just go back to sleep, you gotta wake up early anyway." She said from the bathroom.

I got up and went down to the kitchen to get some water, I managed to find a warm one from the pack in one of the cupboards instead of the cold ones from the fridge.
I opened another cupboard for a glass cup and walked back up. As I got there, Brianna was in the closet, changing into a new pajama set. I put the bedside lamp on and placed the water on the side table to go the bathroom. I went through her cabinets and found pain killers in there. I guess they would do, hopefully it helps her sleep through the night.

I walked back out and she was seated on the side she slept in.

"You take painkillers when you cramp right?" I asked, walking towards her with the medicines I've got in my hand.

"Yeah, but not these, I've got another one that I use for my cramps. It's the blue pack in the cabinet" She said.

I walked back in the bathroom and put back all the painkillers I took, grabbing the blue packet. They are sachets and not pills so I have no idea how they are used. I'm guessing she mixes it in water to drink.

"How do you use these?" She stretched one hand to get it from me whilst the other holds unto her abdomen.

I gave them to her and opened the water bottle to pour water in the cup for her. She sat, unmoving for a few seconds before she opened the sachet and poured the powder in her mouth. After that, she stretched her hand to me again for the water.

She drank the whole glass and thanked me after she was done.

"You should sleep Joon, I'm going to be fine." She said as she situated herself back on the bed pulling the covers on her. She tapped the side I slept on muttering a slow "Come on".

I drank some water first before getting back to bed with her.

"Thank you." She said, turning to grab her phone from the night stand. "You've got like 3 and a half hours to sleep."

"You don't feel fine B. Your cramps woke you up and you're worried about my sleep?" I turned to face her. She blinks at me slowly.

"Let's both try to sleep, do you think you can stay asleep after the medicine?" I asked, pulling her close to my body. Her body feels warm.

"It helps, I'll be able to fall back and stay asleep as soon as it kicks in." I kissed her head and closed my eyes.

"Okay." I mumbled. She turns her body so that she's in a small spoon position. I scooted closer to close the tiny space between us, placing my hand on her lower abdomen and rubbing it softly.

A sigh left her mouth as she relaxes completely. After a few minutes, the both of us fell back asleep, not stirring once.
