(Namjoon's POV)
After three weeks of Touring in America, we came back to Korea for a short break. Our Europe leg of the tour starts in a two weeks. The whole team is gonna rest and visit our families before leaving again. While I was back home, I decided to go see an art exhibit. Management made my reservations even before I left for US.
I got to the Art gallery at 16:00 p.m. I didn't want to be noticed by fans, I just wanted to see some art work and relax in a way, so I was grateful to see just a few people at the entrance.
I waited in the car for my reservation to be confirmed and got called to get in. I walked passed the group of people and some paparazzi of course. I went through the entrance and headed in. I started admiring paintings upon entering, in my eyes, there isn't any bad art. I got greeted by a staff who start showing and interpreting different artworks. One painting caught my attention. It's was an oil painting of a Peony Flower. I wanted it for my parents' house. I think my mom would love it as decor somewhere.
"Is this painting up for sale?" I asked the staff? "Yes, it's going for a 600 dollars, do you want it?" he asked.
"I wanted it for my mom, please take it down for me." I stated with a smile.
"Alright, it's a great choice for a woman, I'll get it down for you." he said to me, returning my smile.I continued checking other paintings out, for some reason, I became relaxed and a bit content. This is what I usually do on my personal off days. After a few minutes of admiring some different art work, I decided to go pay for the painting I wanted to buy. I called the staff and waited for a bit while he finished talking to some other visitors.
I walked to another corner of the gallery and saw a female painting in black and white. I got closer to it and saw that it was a painting by Lee Ufan. Also, there was a woman in front of the painting.
"Lee Ufan, nice. You're gonna get it?" I spoke to the woman whose had her back at me. She definitely has a taste if she's considering getting the painting. Upon hearing my voice, she turned around a bit to probably reply or converse. I recognized her. Her face says the same as mine.
"I met you? At Millennium Hilton Seoul, we bumped into each other." I said, matter of factly.
She just stared at me blankly, probably waiting for me to explain myself further. She's the girl I met briefly at the hotel. She was going to say something but I spoke again, mentally face palming myself for speaking too fast.
"My name is Kim Namjoon, sorry for the other day. I couldn't apologize well." I said, gesturing for a handshake. Hell, I'm so nervous and I don't know why. I hope it doesn't show.
"Hi, it's fine. It was early so everyone was sleep-walking I guess. I'm Brianna." She said, shaking my hand. "Kim Namjoon, you're from BTS." She continued.
She knows BTS? She knows me? Is she a fan? She isn't freaking out like some other fans. I don't mean to be arrogant but how is she so calm and collected?"Yeah, I guess that's me." I said with a small smile, still wondering about her. "You're into art, I see." I said, trying to not be awkward.
"Yeah, a little bit of an obsession. I think I'm getting this one off the wall before a certain someone buys it." She said with a smile. She has a British accent, I guess she's from the UK.
I smile and was going to say something but she turned to call upon the staff to come get the painting off the wall for her.
The guard I'm with came over to tell me that my painting is packed and to leave because more fans are gathering around the area. I went to the reception counter to pay and started to leave.
"Lim, can you please give me a moment?" I asked my bodyguard. I didn't say goodbye to Brianna. I mean, it's not like I know her since we briefly just spoke but I wouldn't mind getting to know her better, if it's possible.
I saw her at the counter and walked up to her.
She saw me coming and she smiled at me."I'm gonna leave now, it was nice meeting you again properly." I said, with a smile.
"Yeah, great meeting you too." She said, looking me in the eyes. She's bold. I like that she doesn't seem to care much about me being a celebrity, she's just normal. Again, Different.
"Do you mind if we meet again some other time? It'd be nice to have an art friend, you could give me your number if that's not a problem." I don't know where I got the balls from to be asking a random foreign girl her number but I asked outright. I stood hopefully, waiting for an answer.
She seemed hesitant for a minute and I kind of pleaded a bit with my eyes. She quietly took my phone and punched her number into it. I am glad she did. I said goodbye to her and left, mentally jubilating.
