Did I hear that correctly? Heejin, you laughed?! ❞

"Jaemin, this is friends, Lee Heejin and Huang Renjun," Donghyuck said, pointing to the two. Jaemin nodded, greeting both.

"So... how'd you two meet?" She asked, shifting her eyes between them.

"When I went to Jeju," Donghyuck asked, smiling.

Jaemin turned to Donghyuck, whispering something in his ear. Donghyuck's face fell before whispering back to him. The whispering session soon stopped. Donghyuck's facial expression went from a frown to a bright one, making Heejin raise her eyebrow.

"Jaemin, you should hang with us," Donghyuck said, placing his arm around his shoulder.

"I'll meet you later. I need to go get something," Heejin said before walking off. Jaemin watched her walk away with curiosity written on his face. 'Is she going to meet the guy in the photo?'

"There she goes again," Renjun said, shaking his head.

"I thought she would get better while I was away, but it seems like she grew worse," Donghyuck said, sighing.

"He was her first love. What do you expect? It's only been five months,"  Renjun said, crossing his arms.

"What are you guys talking about?" He asked, raising his eyebrows. Donghyuck and Renjun turned to each other with wide eyes.

"Nothing," They said in unison.

Jaemin nodded, letting it go as he guessed that it must've been personal to Heejin. Heejin glanced behind her and noticed Jaemin getting dragged by her friends. She laughed slightly at their idiocy.

"What is this, Lee Heejin?" A girl asked with a gasp. "Are you smiling?"

Heejin turned her head to the girl and rolled her eyes. "What are you talking about, Miyoung? I smile all the time."

"But this one is different. Your smiles seemed forced, and this one? Well, it seems-how do I say this? Well, genuine..." Miyoung said as she placed her hands on Heejin's shoulders.

Heejin gulped, feeling exposed. She didn't realize that her friends could read her like an open book. Although she never tried to hide her sorrow.

"You're delusional," Heejin said, pushing her away.

"I am not! You honestly think you're fooling us?" Miyoung asked, sighing. "Jin, you're hurting. We know you are, so stop pushing us away, okay? You know you can talk to me or any of the boys."

"I know, but I don't think I'm ready to speak to someone about it," She said softly. She averted her eyes to the ground, trying to push back the memories that tried to play in her mind. "In due time, hopefully."
