Tell her soon, or I'll tell her myself

Minho stared at the sleeping Heejin in his arms, smiling softly. 'If only I had the courage, then maybe you wouldn't be hurting like this...' He thought, staring at her with a sad expression.

"If I did it, then I could've prevented this from happening," He whispered, sadly smiling down at her.

Minho stood up and carried her to the bed, carefully placing her down. He brushed away the stray hairs on her face before placing the blanket on top of her. He sighed, staring down at her one last time before leaving. He pulled out his phone, placing it near his ear.

"Hello?"

"Did you really have to break her like that?" Minho asked, frowning.

"What?"

"She's in pain because of you," Minho said, feeling frustrated. "Was it necessary to do this to her?"

"I- I didn't want to, you know that."

"It hurts to see her cry every day, do you know that? She doesn't smile like she used to, Hyunjin. She's miserable," Minho whispered.

"You don't think this affects me too? I didn't want her to be even sadder."

"I know that... but don't you want to see her? At least have closure so both of you can stop hurting. I want the best for the both of you," Minho said, glancing at Heejin's door.

"What if she doesn't want to see me?"

"Trust me, she does," Minho said, leaning back on the wall behind him.

"I think it'd be better if she doesn't see me. I don't want her to see me, not after what I did to her. It'd be better if she forgot about me..."

"Are you dumb?! She'll blame herself again if she ever finds out! You can't keep her in the dark about everything, Hyunjin. You're going to have to tell her one way or another." Minho sighed, tired of keeping the truth from Heejin.

"The last thing I want is her being upset with me for not telling her after everything happens."

"Tell her soon, or I'll tell her myself," Minho demanded, making Hyunjin protest.

"No, please... just give me a bit of time."

Minho sighed and rubbed his head stressfully. "Alright, fine. You better do it soon."

"I will, thank you."

Minho hummed before hanging up, throwing his phone on the couch, and breathed in deeply. He glanced at Heejin's door and shook his head before walking to the kitchen. He placed the strawberries in his bowl and took his phone from the couch before leaving, closing the door softly behind him.

Heejin groaned, raising from her bed. She rubbed her eyes and blinked, trying to adjust her vision. She sighed, running her hands through her hair as she sat in the dark. Her eyes felt puffy from the crying that she did, making her squint.

"Minho?" She called out in a hoarse voice. There was no response, making her stumble out of bed. She opened the door to her room, only to meet more darkness. She sighed, walking to the light switch. She immediately shut her eyes as the flash of light flooded her vision. She blinked slowly, fluttering her eyes open before walking towards the bathroom.

She stood there, standing in front of the mirror, staring at her messy state. Her hair stood in different directions, and her cheeks were flushed red from the crying she did. Her eyes stung, and she couldn't open them correctly to the puffiness. She sighed and turned the faucet, then leaned forward to wash her face. She wiped the water off before leaning her hands on either side of the sink.

She took a brush and brushing down her hair, wincing once in a while if she pulled too hard. She glanced at her clothing, noticing she was still in her uniform. She groaned and walked back to change. She walked out of her room, hearing the jingle of keys and the door unlocked.

"Hey," She said, walking past the door, straight to the kitchen.

"Hey, you feeling better now?" Minho asked, putting his shoes away. Heejin hummed, taking the bowl of strawberries from the fridge and popped one in her mouth.

"Did you eat?" Minho asked, walking into the kitchen.

Heejin shook her head before swallowing the strawberry. "No, I just woke up."

"Are you hungry? What do you want to eat?"

"Not really, I'll just eat these. Where'd you go?" Heejin asked, taking a seat on the couch.

"Practice," Minho answered, plopping right next to her.

"Were you late? I'm sorry-"

"Heejin, it's okay." Minho placed his hand on her shoulder. "I made it on time, don't worry."

"I heard from Miyoung that you're entering the talent show with that new girl with the name from Aladdin. It's Jasmine, right?" Heejin stared at him for a split second before bursting into laughter.

"Jasmine!" Heejin said breathlessly, finding it hilarious that Minho thought Jaemin was a girl.

"What?" Minho asked, his eyebrows furrowed as a smile formed on his lips. "What's so funny?"

"His name is Jaemin, not Jasmine!" Heejin clutched her stomach, unable to contain her laughter. Her face was flushed, finding it hard to breathe through the laughter.

"Close enough," Minho said, waving her off. Minho's smile widened, relieved that he got to see her laugh once again. 'You're getting there, Heejin... it's good to see you laughing again.'

"Where did you even get Jasmine from?" Heejin asked as she wiped a tear from the corner of her eye. She breathed deeply, trying to calm herself. She massaged her cheeks, finding them sore from her laughing session.

"I don't get how that was so funny," Minho said, raising his eyebrow at her, judging her slightly. She waved him off before clearing her throat.

"Anyway, I'm going to be dancing with him," Heejin said, still trying to relieve the pain from her cheeks. Minho froze and craned his head to her.

"You're going to be dancing?" He asked, shocked by the news. "That's great! I'd love to see you dance again."

Minho smiled and reached out to take a strawberry from her. She stuck her tongue out from him and pulled the bowl away. "No, these are mine."

Minho's mouth flew open in disbelief. "I washed that for you!"

"Yes exactly, for me," Heejin said, smiling sweetly at him. Minho stared at her from head to toe with a frown on his face.

"I'm not giving you any more fruit, spoiled brat," Minho said, rolling his eyes are her.

"Fine, here have it, you big baby." She giggled before giving him the fruit.

Minho smiled in satisfaction before popping one in his mouth.
