bad news

I awoke to Jamison's voice . "Haelynn " he says "what's going on ?" I ask as I try to sit up .suddenly a searing pain runs through my body and I scream in pain . "Easy ! Easy ! "Jamison said " you got hurt pretty bad during the battle . We thought you weren't gonna make it"

The battle . The defects .blood . Cassidy . Oh my gosh !! Cassidy !! "Where's cassidy " I ask Jamison's eyes fall to the floor . He's silent for a moment before he stands up ,looks straight ahead and places his left hand over his heart over his heart folding his thumb and his pinkie .

"Alex murano , Elora gellry , tyren jaxwinn,and cassidy blackwell have served well as brave loyal and honest able soldiers they fought hard and saved many . We will always remember them not only as fellow soldiers but as family . These soldiers were only one of thousands but they are still cherished even after their tragic deaths . We will not forget the fallen . " He says as he looks sorrowful.

My heart drops . No this isn't real it can't be cassidy I just saw her she was just here . I'm sure she's here I just have to find her . "Cassidy " I call in a steady voice . " Cassidy!! " I call louder
No answer . I have to go to her . I start fighting through the pain as I try to get up only for jamison to try to keep me down " get off me !!" I yell as I try to push him away .

" Let me go !!" I scream as he continues to hold me down " I have to find her she's here I know it please let me go!! " I eventually escape his grip as I run for the door screaming for cassidy despite the pain that tears through my body . Jamison is chasing me as I run through the hospital . Eventually the feeling in my legs begins to fade and my whole body seems to collapse I start to cry as I scream for cassidy knowing that she's gone

jamison catches up to me and starts to comfort me . I notice people staring at me but I don't care . They don't understand me they probably think I'm crazy so they're gonna send me back home and treat me as if I'm ill and then I'll live with mom for the rest of my life . And then I'll be with cassidy .

I wake up again to find jamison and sapphire talking about me . They don't know I'm awake yet so I close my eyes and listen .

"How are we gonna tell her ."

" We'll figure it out "

"It's bad enough about cassidy and now this "

"I know ..."

" She'll be heart broken ,"

" Sapphire you should tell her I ... I can't I don't wanna hurt her anymore then she already is ."

"What?" I ask the suspense is killing me . " Haelynn I didn't realize you were awake "sapphire said . I look at her with a questioning look .she sighs. " I need to tell you something she says as she takes a seat next to my hospital bed and holds my hand .

What she says next hurt me in a ways I had never been hurt . After all Things like this can never be predicted not even by the a.t.c and certainly not by me ...
