Happy For a Change

The world is full of love, life, loss, and pain

All of which seem impossible to explain

Most of my words are about sadness and fear

But that's not what you really want to hear

That is what seems to flow the most

Like the ocean with water, a girly-girl with clothes

I want to write about happy times

I want to give you happy rhymes

I feel like I'm not good enough to you

Even though you tell me that that isn't true

That's it, no more sadness in these words

Leave me the happiness, the singing of the birds

Let me feel those amazing emotions

That, in fairy tales, are caused by potions

Give me happiness, strength, and courage

Let go of the past, it's locked up in storage

It's time to move on, to be happy again

And once again be close to all my friends

Although this poem may never come true

I'll still get happiness from all of you

And though I will have many scars

You'll be the things affecting my heart

I don't want to feel anymore pain

I wish it were possible for me to explain

But I guess that's just how life really is

People wanting better than this

And I know I can never say this enough

But thank you for all this amazing stuff

By stuff I mean all our memories

And though they may fade, those great treasuries

I hope our friendships will never end

Because you are all my true friends

And as I say goodnight to you

I work to make my wishes come true

Keep the bad things away from me

Help me be truly happy

I promised to try and make amends

I won't give up, our friendship won't end

At least for an extremely long time

And that, I guess, concludes my happy rhyme
