When I wake up, I yawn. Slowly I open my eyes and stare at a posh ceiling. What's this?! I jump up and look around the room, this is NOT my room. Then everything comes back what happened yesterday. I'm a tribute. Right, forgot that for a second. When I stand up I realize I'm still wearing the same dress as yesterday. The dress Finnick called me Angel in. His Angel. I walk over to what I assume is a bathroom. I let out a scream and jump back scared when I see a person in there. 'Who are you?!' I shout, the person exactly doing the same. She's... She's a copy of me? With tiny steps I get closer, until I bump into something. I place my hand on the hard thing and stare at myself. 'It's a mirror.' I whisper. It's the second mirror I've seen in my whole life. I look alright, wavy, messy brown hair. But my eyes are still red from all the crying. Yesterday, when Finnick left, I cried myself to sleep. You know what? I'm not in the mood to change. I start walking to the room where we were yesterday. I'm hungry now, my stomach hurts. I enter the room and see Felix is already there. 'Morning.' I mumble while I look at him. His somewhat dark skin looks good on him. He turns around and smiles a sad smile. 'Good morning.' He says. 'When are we going to have breakfast? I'm hungry like a whale.' I say giggling a bit. Felix let's out a laugh and shrugs. 'I don't know, Preona told me food would be here soon. Hey, can I ask you something?' He asks me. 'Always.' I answer with a little smile on my face. 'Great, er, what's that with you and Finnick?' I blush a bit and turn my head away. I don't want him to feel like Finnick's only going to help me in the Arena. 'We are great friends. And it has been five years since we last saw each other, that's why we cried.' Felix nods and takes a seat. I do so too. 'Oh la la! Good morning darlings! It's time for some... Food! We have everything your heart can desire! Let's start with something you should love, tuna on bread!' Preona shouts happily while she enters the room. How can she be so cheery?
After we ate that delicious food, I mean really, it was heavenly, I've never tasted anything as good as that. We are about to arrive at the Capitol. I rush to the window to see what it looks like. 'Wow...' I whisper at the same moment as Felix, who is next to me. The Capitol, so evil but so beautiful at the same time. The train enters the station and everywhere I look are waving people. They are so excited to see the District four tributes. Amazed by all the colors and weird haircuts I stare outside. Slowly moving my hand in a try to wave. 'Annie, Felix, let them like you. Wave and smile.', Finnick says from behind me.
So that's what we do when we leave the train. I wave at the crowd and give them my brightest smile. 'Hello!', I shout happily. Felix does the same thing. We enter a giant building made of glass. 'This are your preparation teams. Annie, go to the left, Felix you go to the right.', Preona says while she points in the directions. I head to the left and look behind my back, Finnick isn't following me. Damn, I have to do this on my own. My preparation team exists out of three people, Lila, Grefa and Boro. They all greet me happily and I do the same back. They seem to be kind people. 'What are you going to do with me?' I ask them curiously. 'Lay down honey, you'll find out yourself.', says Lila.
