(I will use keiji his first name in some parts)
Years and Years into the future. Keiji sits down and tells a grand story to his fellow nephews. He isn't old, nor he is young.
He took a seat on the plaid cushion and prepares. "Here we go," the oldest grunts. His stories were long and in depth. Truly a great worded man, he had a way with words that you didn't understand. One moment he's telling a cute story the next you're...on the bed. Well to go to bed, you know, his stories made you sleepy.
Anyways, he took a breath and started.
"It started when we were back in high school. The story about how I saw the stars."

"Oi! Akaashi!" Bokuto exclaimed running towards Akaashi. "Oh, Bokuto-san. What's up?" Akaashi asked as he placed his school bag on his shoulder. "Coach let us go for the day," Bokuto said happily he then starts walking with Akaashi. "Why do you think?" Bokuto looked at Akaashi and asked. "You know me Bokuto-san, I don't like getting nosy." The black haired boy responded. "Nosy?" Bokuto raised his voice. "Oops sorry." He lowered his voice. "Come to think of it, probably a divorce, you think?" Bokuto sprung up. Akaashi just rolled his eyes and made his way.
"I'm separating here, I've got to visit one of my sisters!" He waved goodbye to his friend. Akaashi went his way home. Slowly, the night crept in and he was caught up with the night. "Why is home so far?" He asked as he limped home.
He got to his doorstep and opened the door. "Hey mom," he then shifted his eyes to you. "Uh- Y/n?" He asked confused. You two were neighbours and also best friends. "Oh, hey Keiji! Oba-san invited me to crochet with her." You looked at him as you crocheted the little pouch you made. "Oba-san is in the kitchen." Y/n said.
Akaashi smiled at Y/n and left to go to the kitchen.
He popped a vein and blushed. "Mooom!" He complained to the woman cutting the green onions. "What? You like Y/n right?" She asked as Keiji's cheeks flushed a bright pink. He just shook his head and went to sit with you.
"Oh, you're back?" You smiled and offered him the pouch you made. "O-oh thank you. Would you let me keep it?" Keiji asked flustered. You see, it smells like you. Keiji thought. "Sure!" You gave it.
Keiji and I heard a strange scream coming from the kitchen. Keiji looked at you concerned and ran. You then followed 2 seconds later.
Ms. Akaashi collapsed on the cold kitchen's floor. Pale faced, cold and quiet. "M-mom?" Keiji scared asked. You then grabbed the land line and called 911. Keiji kneeled and started to carry his mom outside the door shouting for help. About 2 minutes later, the ambulance came. They took her into the stretcher. Into the ambulance. She had a pulse but it was very faint. Keiji was so shocked he couldn't focus on anything.
"K-keiji?" You asked. He looked at you. "I think it's best that we get a night's sleep before we head to the hospital." Keiji said and smiled. Confused as you are, you relaxed just a bit. But is there a reason Keiji doesn't want to rush to the hospital now? You thought.
Y/n is a relaxant pill. Whatever I do, I'm relaxed with them.
"Actually... I cant make up my mind. I want to go to the hospital but I wanna stay with you." The black haired boy looked down. You then took his cheeks into your palms and looked in his teary eyes. "Keiji...Go with your mom. I'm not important." You smiled. Akaashi shook his head. "Yes you are...would you mind if you came with me instead?" He asked. With a lit up expression, you agreed.
Both of you sat in the car. Driving towards the hospital, it was dead beat silent. Comfortable silence but the anxiety lingered. The two get to the hospital and ran through the doors.
"Hello, where is the room for Ms. Akaashi?" You asked swiftly. They explained that at that moment Akaashi's mom was in the ICU she suffered from a quick heart quenching stroke. Barely made it in time. Keiji's heart fell to his feet in disbelief and sadness. "W-we can't see her?" Keiji asked the nurse. "I'm afraid not." She replied.
Akaashi then left and ran to car Y/n followed aswell. "Hey! Wait up! The nurse said we can wait in the chairs outside the ICU!" You shouted as Keiji ran into the car, seeming to be wiping his tears. He went in the car and sat there. He didn't lock the door so you were able to go inside with him aswell.
"Are you okay, Keiji?..." You moped.
He looked at you with his eyebrows scrunched with wet cheeks and red eyes.
"Do you think I'm okay?!" He shouted. "My mom is balancing life and death and I can't even say goodbye! Right now, dad can in the club hooking up with somebody! You really think I'm okay? Don't be stupid! Did you even think about the bills! About a week in the ICU costs so much!" He didn't stop and his rage and anger came out. You shocked, left the car and ran.
Took a deep breath.
You ran and ran towards the hill beside the hospital and laid down. The wind made the grass dance with it. "I mean, I don't blame him, that was stupid. You really had to ask him..." You facepalmed. Since it was almost dawn the sun popped out. The stars cleared and the orange day came out.
Then you heard the grass crunch by your head. You looked up and it was Keiji. "What's up?" You asked as if it were casual, the guy is going through a lot. "Y/n...right now I faced the truth." He said sitting beside you. "What is the truth, in general, nobody knows." You responded. "No, I do know, I can't go through this without you. Before this, I went to the bar, I tried but nothing makes me as happy as you do. No one makes me as relaxed as you do. Not alcohol, not...drugs? Nothing." His eyes locked with yours as he finally said the truth. "I saw the stars. You, you are the stars. Stars that make the dark night brighter and a lot nicer to look at." Keiji said.
-
"Wait wait, what happened to her?" The oldest nephew asked. "Oh well, about to be my wife in two weeks." Keiji said happily.
