Akaashi x reader : work

"AH! IM LATE!" Y/n says jumping out of bed running to get her clothes on. "It had to be the first day that you had to be late.. the first day!" Y/n says in frustration. Y/n got dressed and shot straight out the door. She drove through traffic like a baddie. She arrived in the building and entered. There were many designs and decors of manga characters and anime characters. She knew that was her dream job. She entered the elevator and waited to be dropped on the top floor for the interview. A guy with black hair in a middle part and glasses entered the elevator.

"Hello, I'm new here or more on I'm here to be interviewed..." Y/n said looking at the guy trying to make an impression. "Oh, and you are? Because I actually have to accompany my boss to interview someone." He said. "Oh, I'm L/n F/n but please call me Y/n." Y/n said bowing. "Oh you are the person I need to interview.. Akaashi Keji, editor here in the building where all the coolest mangas get produced, nice to meet you." He says. "Ah- nice to meet you." Y/n said until a loud crash. The two fell on the ground as the elevator crashed on the ground. Lights flicker and turn off while the elevator door won't open. "Y/n are you okay! Come here! Do you have a phone?" Akaashi said in a concerned  voice. Y/n pulled out her phone in silence and turned on her flashlight. " sir Akaashi.. I'm severely scared of the dark so please don't mind me." Y/n said wiping her tears. (I'm scared of the dark -Kishiko :,) "Ms. Y/n here, I'll give you my jacket. There you go." Akaashi says placing his jacket on your shoulders. "A-oh thank you." Y/n says. "Please just call me Akaashi, I guess we're close enough since we're stuck in a crashed elevator together." Akaashi says looking around. "Oh yeah, are you injured y/n?" He asks. "No, I'm fine what about you Akaashi?" Y/n asks pointing to him. "Oh I'm fine, but should probably call for help." He said as he stood up and started banging on the door and shouting. The two chatted time to time while waiting for the people to save them. Until finally, they heard sirens and multiple shouting and banging on the door. "There here, thank God." Y/n said. "Oh yeah your jacket." Y/n said removing it off her shoulders. "No, keep it, let's just wait for them to open in then I'll see you there." Akaashi says smiling. "O-oh okay! Thank you." Y/n says, she wasn't gonna lie, that was quite smooth.

They get it open and the two of you thank them then rush. You two stayed there for an hour and 30 minutes. You two were basically running to the conference room. You two get there then obviously get a scolding but Akaashi backed them up so you were excused. The interview went well and in a few days it will be released. Y/n gets in her car and starts driving home. Occasionally she'd smell the jacket, just cuz it smelled like him. It was Y/n's fangirl side making her feel bliss whenever she smelled it. She got home and took a really long nap. Once she woke up she had a dream with the man she just met, she couldn't remember much but in the dream Akaashi had something in his pocket in his jacket that was important. Y/n being y/n checked the jacket to see, she pulled out a business card with his numbers.. "yes!" Was shouted.

Y/n: hellooo
Akaashi: who is this?
Y/n: the person you got stuck in an elevator with :)
Akaashi: oh! Y/n, how' d you get my number?
Y/n:.. well I found your business card in your jacket.
Akaashi: that's great. So we were just discussing whether to accept you, and..
Y/n: and...
Akaashi: welcome to Shueisha! Editor no. 2!
Y/n: no. 2?
Akaashi: oh! I'm no. 1 hehe
Y/n: woah see you then!
Akaashi: yes, see you then.

Y/n throws her phone across the room and just screams in excitement. She was like every elementary schooler when they get asked out. After that, she made ramen noodles at 12:00am.

The next day, she gets ready as usual but she's not in a hurry. She drives to the building now knowing not to use the elevator. Then she hears a familiar voice. "Y/n! Hey! I'm wanna show you around and your office space!" He says running to you. "Oh Akaashi! Sure, I really hope this will work out! I really do like this job." Y/n says as they walk. "It will, dont worry, you have the best skills, I'm not worried." He said. "Thank you Akaashi." Y/n said in response. You two walk until you find your office area. "Y/n.. guess what." Akaashi said pointing to the chair. "Hmm.. is that my area?" Y/n asked. "Yes it is, and mine is beside yours!" He said. "Yay! We can help each other!" Y/n said as if she was calm but inside she was screaming. "Akaashi wanna take a selfie to commemorate this day.. I mean If you don't want to.." y/n continued to mumble. "Come here" he said as he scooped her and he smiled and took the picture. "Akaashi! Another one, I look like I saw a ghost!" Y/n said. "Okay here we go!" He snapped another photo now with you two smiling.

For the rest of your days, you two continued to talk. Until he looked at you straight in the eyes and said, "Y/n, I plan to give you all my love, forever and ever. Will you be my girlfriend?". Y/n responded with the outstanding "yes!" She was so happy. Two editors in love in a manga publishing company, if that isn't a dream, what is?
