Lev x reader : Bitter

Soulmate Au~~~
Lev and y/n were best friends since... well a long time ago. The two would always walk home together go back to school the next day together. They did everything together. They had vowed always never to date or crush on each other, it would never wreck the relationship but it will make things awkward. There was actually an incident where Lev confessed to y/n but best believe nothing happened. But your relationship was so strong that even after that, best buds, yes just best buds.

Y/n Pov.
"Hey! Lev!" Y/n shouts as she jogs to the table where him and y/n sits in the cafeteria. "Oh! Y/n I reserved you a seat, here let's get some food!" Lev says as he points to the reserved seat. "Thanks giraffe, lets go line up" the girl says. You guys always had nicknames for each other, a little bit dumb but so are you two. "You're welcome ant howoahh you hungry or sumthin." The tall boy says as he had been being dragged around. You two line up to get food, today it's Katsudon. "Today's food is so gooooood!" Lev says as he raises his hands to celebrate at the same time break his chopsticks. "I know right! Well I'll start digging in." Y/n says scooping it up. Humans lived in a world with a soulmate on hand, by creation humans were believed to be two people in one but someone thought to separate the two and made them long lost souls slowly connecting. Well... in this world, you taste whatever your soulmate tastes. "Hey, y/n wanna go on a coffee date, lets "study"?" Lev says as he finger bunny's the study part, as if the two of you would. You guys just called it dates because technically it is, you two wondered whatever else could you being together alone be called. "Sure pole!" Y/n says as she giggles a bit. "Aaaaagain with the weird nameess, fine bug." Lev says. "Awww I like bug as a nickname, where do we go, which cafe?" Y/n quickly changes the subject to make sure Lev doesn't give her more odd nicknames. "How bout the one on the corner of our street?" Lev asks. "Oh okay sure"
The bell rings and you two get up to get back to class.

The day is ended.

The leaves on the floor of the road perfectly compliments the scene of the cafe, making it definitely more cozy looking. It gave the cafe a rustic look, y/n was always drawn to it.

"Lev! Over here! Lets sit here." Y/n says ushering the boy. "Hah, go easy, good thing we didn't have practice todayyy!" The boy says as he stretches. "Yeah! Or else we wont be able to go on this date!" Y/n says. "Yeah, should I start ordering?" The green eyed boy asks. "Sure pick the usual, gonna use the restroom Kay?" Y/n says as she pull out of her chair. "Okay, hmm... regular.. regu- aha!" He checks the menu and picks the regular. "Hey miss? I'll like 2 number 24 thank you!" Lev orders. A minute has passed and the order comes, "oh hah, thank you miss." Lev says as he takes a sip. Just at that moment y/n steps out of the bathroom enough to see Lev. "Garrghhh! Bitter! I might've gotten the wrong one." Lev complains. "Eww, whats this bitter taste, probably my soulmate, how can he like bitter coffee.." y/n says not noticing what had just happened. Lev was just sat there quite surprised that she may actually be his soulmate. "OooOooh coffee let me take a sip!" Y/n says reaching the cup. "Yeah" Lev just sat there the whole time waiting, is it true? "Errghhh! Bitter!" Lev reacts. Y/n just looked at Lev cup still at the edge of her mouth so stunned. "repeat that y/n..." Lev instructs y/n to try again. "Do a thumbs up if you can taste the bitterness" y/n says. She takes another gulp, as she expected Lev does a thumbs up. "So.. you're my soulmate?" Lev asks. "I guess so, I kinda hoped so, our relationship is so so strong and so good it would just be wrong for it not to be right." Y/n says looking at Lev. "HEy!!1! You're my soulmate!1!1 who drinks bitter coffee!1!1! Ewwwwwwww" y/n lightens the shock and tension around. "HEY! I Miss Read the MeNu!1!@!" Lev says correcting her. The two continue blabbering as soulmates, people made to be instead of just friends. "Damn, that was bitter."
