Alex's POV:
After the third period, it was lunch time so we, me and Sophie, headed to the cafeteria. It seemed like Sophie and I had most of our classes together. She looked like she was thinking so I asked.
"What are you thinking about?"
"You." She replied.
"Me?..." I pointed at myself. "...Please don't tell me that you're having a crush on me!" I begged her.
"No... no no no no..." She laughed, shaking her head. "...I have a boyfriend. It was just... I didn't know that you and Damien Sanders know each other."
"Well... We're not." I shrugged.
"You're not? But... Well... He did said Nice to meet you AGAIN!" She looked confused.
"Um... We met earlier this morning. Well... I bumped into him so we spoke a little" I said as I recalled the weird conversation between me and Damien earlier.
"You bumped into Damien Sanders without being punched in the face?" She stopped walking and gasped.
"Yeah...??? You look shocked." I said, giving her a strange look.
"That's because I am. Dude! Nobody bumps into Damien Sanders and gets away without, at least, being punched in the face!" She was freaking me out at this point. Not because she looked weird with her hands waving all over the place but because of the things she said. Why didn't he punched me in the face? Oh My God! What if he tends to get payback on me? Gosh! I hope that's not going to happen.
"Should I be scared?... I asked, looking at her desperately.
"Hell yeah you should! This kid doesn't let anyone get away that easy. I mean, he's probably planning on some shit. So you'd better watch out." She threatened.
"Really?" I said, probably sounding like a little 5 years old girl.
"Yeah... But don't worry Damien Sanders is one of my best friends. I won't let him lay a finger on you. I got your back." She said triumphantly.
"Phew! Thanks!" I let out a breath and we continued to walk to the cafeteria.
"Wait. He's your friend?" I asked.
"Yeah." she said.
"Although it is kinda weird that he let you go." She continued, shrugging.
Despite Sophie's reassuring words, I couldn't help the fear that he might be planning on something, just like Sophie said.
"And why do you always say his full name?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.
"I don't know. Just because." She shrugged as we walked through the door of the cafeteria.
We decided to split since she had brought her own lunch and I had to go buy my own. I heard the food here was gross. I hope they wasn't.
After I had picked up my tray of food, I turned my heels and saw Sophie waving wildly at me, yelling. "Come sit with us."
I looked at the table she was sitting with. There were three other people sitting there with her: The blond girl, who was texting wildly, looked extremely familiar; and the two boys who were talking two each other.
It seemed like the to boys were in the school football team since they were wearing the same jacket as Damien did. You know? That uniformed jacket, which every guy who is in the football team wear. I don't even know what that thing was called. Anyways, the blond, she was definitely a cheerleader because she wore the cheerleader's uniform. She looked pretty, real pretty, she had blond hair, blue eyes, she wore lip gloss and black eyeliner. Wow, she looked like a typical popular girl. She probably was. And for some reason she looked extremely familiar. She kinda reminds me of ...
