"Rye stop," I chuckled trying to wrestle his naked body off of mine.

"I love you, a bushel and a peck!" Ryan sang obnoxiously to me. "Let me kiss you while I sing my song!"

"No!" I laughed rolling over onto my stomach, burying my face into my pillow.

"A bushel and a peck!" He whispered yelled laying his body on top of mine. A soft kiss being placed on my cheek making me giggle. "And...?"

"And a hug around the neck," I finished the little nursery rhyme with way less enthusiasm than he used. "Are you satisfied now?"

"Very." He hummed wrapping his arms around me and laying his head on the middle of my shoulder blades.

Things with Ryan had just started to turn sour, both of us trying to make up for it. Spending the entire weekend in my our room, either having sex, talking, or just simply enjoying each other's company. And despite our best efforts we both knew our flame was slowly dying. The once hate fire, turned love, was becoming nonexistent.

"We're drifting," I said sadly knowing we had been avoiding the conversation.

"We're not," Ryan tried to protest even when he knew I was right. "It's just a rough patch."
