"He's always leaving me to fend for myself," Lyra scoffed. "Thank you for being such a gentleman and opening the door for me, Ryan." I gave her a silly grin that she responded to with a friendly hug, Harvey rolled his eyes. "Should reconsider my choice of men."
"You know I'm off the market," I chuckle knowing she was joking. "I'm here for one person, and one person only."
The pretty satin box was proof of just how unavailable I was about to become, meaning if everything went well.
It had been a dreadful two months. I had a lot of distractions, my little brothers, my mom, my recovery, it was a lot. My physical pain was nothing compared to the mental battle I was having about my favorite blond. A thousand and one different things I could've been doing and not once did Andy leave my mind. The incarnate sort of mystic covets that just drew us towards each other were undeniable. I needed him and these past few years taught me just how much. His sweet smile simmered into the depths of my mind. The overly loud laugh that he loathed more than anything, was part of the reason I smiled so much. Minus all the sex, all the fights, all the things that had ever mattered enough to shatter us, I had found the feeling of home when with him. And I never felt the need to be home than now. My eyes searching.
