I'd been looking at the note all morning, wearing the shirt he had given me back. It lost its distinct smell a long time ago, but now it suddenly smelled like him again.
He said he would be gone in the morning, and I didn't think that it would've affected me this badly. It was like two years never happened and I was heartbroken all over again. I couldn't breath, I couldn't think, I couldn't even debate on going in to the hospital when they asked if I was free. Because in all honesty, I wasn't free. Not emotionally.
So, when old feelings call for your head, you find your self looking for old solutions. I hadn't been in Brook and Harper's house since Claire.
