Niki and I have been friends since birth! People even thought we were a couple for being so close to eachother. I've been crushing on him since third grade but the problem is He see's me as his Bestfriend. Just his Bestfriend and none other.

"Y/n!" He woke me up from a tap on my shoulder and I look behind me.

Look at him. His smile. His face. His bubbly personality. How can you not fall in love with a guy like him?

"What?" I said half asleep

"Meet me at the cafeteria later after my dance practice. I gotta tell you something." He said and I nod

I went out of the classroom and went to find him in the cafeteria waving at me.

"So what?" I asked and sat across from him

"I have a crush on someone" he said

And that made my heart break into a million pieces.

"Congratulations. After 14 years, you got yourself a lil crush on someone!" I said and softly punch his shoulder as I hold my tears from falling

"Yeah! You gotta help me tonight! I might confess to him/her later." He said

"So who is this someone??" I asked acting like I'm interested

Please don't tell me who it is..

"Can't tell! I'll tell you after confessing!" He said and laughed

"Oh, well." I said

"And help me cause I'm gonna text him/her through chat!" He added smiling happily

"Don't you worry, Niki! I got you!" I said ruffling his hair

I went home and started crying. My mom noticed and knew what was going on

"He likes someone?? I never knew that a guy like him would actually fall in love with someone?" She said

"Well, here we are. I'm gonna remain single forever!" I said

"Oh honey, it's best to stay single honestly. You'll have freedom and you can do anything what your heart's desire!" She said and I cringe

"But I want to experience love!" I said

"What about my love for you??" She said

"I mean falling in love, ma." I said

"For sure you'll experience it one day. But not today, besides, You're still young!" She said and kissed my forehead and slapped my butt after the last sentence.

"Oww!" I groan from the pain and laughed

"Thanks for comforting me, mom!" I said and she hugged me

"No worries. Find a guy like Niki, don't follow me with marrying someone like your dad!" She said

"I heard that!" He yelled from his office and we laughed

"Okay you can go now, get some rest!" She said and patted my shoulders

"Yes, ma. Love you!" I said and headed upstairs

"Love you too! Study hard!" She yelled

I went in my room and removed everything that I was carrying.

"Ugh! I must be tired from crying" I said

And went to my bathroom and took a shower

As I finished showering I heard my notification sound beep.

"It must be him." I said and plopped on my bed and opened our chat box

Riki: Hey! Wish me luck! (⊙_◎)

You: Goodluck! ＼(°o°)／

Riki: Okay! I'm gonna confess to her now!!

You: Alright! Tell me what she replies!

Riki: Okay!

Ten seconds later..

Riki: Wait!!!

You: what? Did something happen??

Riki: No, hehe I'm just nervous.. haven't talked to him/her yet. Can I practice with you??

You: Why?

Riki: C'mon pleasee!! I don't want it to fail

You: Fine!! But only once!

Riki: Yes! Thanks, Y/n!

You: okay go!

Riki: I like you!

You: That's perfect! Now go confess!!!

Riki: what?

You: Confess to her/him!!

Riki: But I just did.

You: wait what?

Riki: I like you, Y/n! HAHAHAH

You: Are you serious right now?

Riki: Yes!! I've liked you since kindergarten! Haven't you notice??

You: what??

Riki: Hahaha even your mom knows that I have a crush on you!

"MAA!! YOU KNEWW!!?!?" I yell

"YESS! SORRY FOR NOT TELLING! IT'S A SURPRISE!!" She yelled back

*Call from Riki*

"Hey!" He said

"Hi!" I reply back and we had awkward silence for about 8 seconds

"So," we both say in unison and laughed

"You go first" he said

"Is it true? Do you really like me?" I asked

"Why would I be lying to you!? Ask your mom if this is real or fake!?" He said laughing

"It's true! He likes you!" My mom yelled downstairs

"Maaa!!" I yell and both Niki and her laughed

"You really do like me!" I said

"It's the truth!" He said

"Do you like me back?" He asks through the other line

"Ofcourse!!!" I said and he jumps from his bed and mumbles a yes and reaches his fist up as a symbol for victory and I laughed

"So, we're official?" He asked

"Ofcourse we are silly!!" I said and laughed

He laughs with a big smile on his face and I could tell that he's so happy and that made me smile more not knowing he was staring at me.

"You're so pretty when you smile." He said and that made me cringe

"Ew stop!" I said

"It's a fact. Alright, I'm gonna eat dinner, Mom's making Sushi!" He said and I laugh

"Alright! Eat well!" I said

"Goodnight, Y/n! See you tomorrow!" He said

"Goodnight, Niki!" I said and he smiles and ends the call
