"FIVE!"

"FOUR!"

"THREE!"

"One! Happy Ne-" I was cut off mid sentence as I felt someone's lips on mine.

I looked at the person infront of me and it was my Bestfriend, Jay.

What is happening right now?? Jay is literally kissing me!! Should I stop?? He's not letting go...

Flashback

We head outside the gate of the school but someone jumped infront of us.

"Jay! Y/n! You're invited to Yeri's New Year's eve party at her house. You should go!" His friend Heeseung said

"Thanks, hyung. But I don't think Y/n doesn't wanna go join the par-" I cut him off

"We'll go!" I said and his face made a confused look

"Alright! See you guys at 8!" He said and left

"Are you sure? What about your family?" He asked

This is my Bestfriend, Jay. We became friends when I transferred schools. He was the first one to ever talk to me, and NO I'm not a bad person. I'm just the shy type that even people find me very mysterious. They think I'm already judging them just by staring but literally that's just how my face is.

What Jay doesn't know is that, I like him. And I want to ask him out during this New Year's Eve party, yes the other way around, but I don't even think I have the guts to do so.

"I'm sure they'll be fine. Besides, they forced me to make friends here at the first day of school. 2 years in, and I only made one friend. Which is you, buddy!" I rubbed his hair awkwardly as I tiptoed to reach his head.

He laughed as we continued walking to his car. He opens the door for me and I went in.

"Both of our parents are going to a business trip together which makes us the only kids who didn't get to have a good time for their new year's eve this upcoming year." I added

"Oh, c'mon. Your new year won't be that bad.. I'm here with you." He said

We arrived at their house and we remove our bags and jackets.

"Yeah, I know but Mom being so overprotective, she won't even let me stay at the house all by myself. It's not that I hate staying here, it's just it hurts to know your mother doesn't trust you" I said and looked at him while giving my best pouty face

He cringed a bit and laughed.

"Okay fine. We can go, as long as you never leave from my side. You've never been to a party before" He said

"I've been to party!" I said

"It was a kid's birthday party. You were 9 at that time." He said

"It's still a party. How is it different from a kid's birthday party to a New year's party full of teens?" I said

"Oh gosh, your mom is really overprotective." He said and I nodded

"Yup, pretty much. Atleast I'm not the only kid she worries about." I said

"It's not like being the only child is the worst thing for a kid.. It's actually fun doing stuff on your own and no one following your actions and stuff." I added and he laughed
