"Oh my gosh!" I laughed as I saw the two of them.

I couldn't contain myself as I watched the two of them kiss. Pansy looked like she was in heaven while Draco ultimately looked sort of uninterested. I had to look away to keep myself from erupting in a fit of laughter, but that didn't stop the smile that had managed to work its way onto my face.

"You look really good tonight, by the way." Baley said, pulling away my attention from my twin.

"Oh thank you." I replied, blood rushing to my cheeks.

He smiled a little bit before taking another sip. "How were your classes this year?"

"Not too bad." I answered honestly. "They were quite simple, actually. Having Draco around always helped but for the most part all you had to do was read."

"That's what I've been telling people!" He laughed as he threw his hand onto my shoulder.

I didn't mind the contact, but his subtle increase in slurring his words did start to worry me just the smallest amount.

"So what about you, Fawley? Got any interests after Hogwarts?" I asked, trying to keep the conversation going.

"Any interest besides getting girls and living life to the fullest? No, not yet. I'll have fun when I'm young and work when I'm dead." He joked.

I started to laugh too before a hand on my arm nearly made me jump out of my seat. I looked around to see Draco standing there, anger etched in his face.

"Can I talk to you?" He asked, obviously trying to keep his temper under control.

"Can it wait till later?" I asked as I ripped his hand off of my arm.

"Down the river." He hissed, making me roll my eyes.

"I'll be right back." I said sweetly to Baley before Draco pulled me into a deserted corner.

"What are you doing?" He asked, letting his anger out.

"What are you talking about?" I asked confused.

He rolled his eyes as he gestured back to the couch where Baley now sat alone. I didn't understand what he could've possibly meant with that gesture, but I had a feeling I wouldn't like whatever he was insinuating.

"Why are you flirting with a drunk 4th year?"

"Flirting?!" I nearly yelled. "We are just talking. And you're one to talk! You and Pansy are putting on a show for the whole house to see. Are you gonna start charging next?"

"Ok, snogging Pansy is way different than that! I've known her all year and she's the same age as I am. You don't even know him and you're letting him throw himself at you." He spat.

"God, Draco you are so dramatic! We are just talking, alright. You really think I would kiss someone I just met?"

"I don't know, would you?" He challenged, looking at me dead in the eye.

We were at an impasse, and for a second a chill came over us that I had never felt before. He looked at me as if I was betraying him, but I truly didn't feel as if I had done anything wrong.

"I didn't even want to come to the stupid party in the first place." I said, keeping my voice low. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go back to talking with my friend. Not snogging, not shagging, talking."

I walked away from him without another word as I sat back down on the couch. I could feel my temper still running high, but I tried to push it back down. I wouldn't let Draco ruin this night for me, so I pushed back on my smile as I returned my attention back to Baley.
