"Would you rather me leave you alone with Kacchan?" Midoriya spoke with a sinister grin on his face.

Todoroki lazily lifted his head and looked over to the other side of the room. The blonde sat in the same spot for 3 hours ago.

Bakugou waved his fingers like a child saying goodbye to their parents as they leave for work, but nothing about his actions were innocent at all and Todoroki had to find out the hard way.

"Thought so." Midoriya got up, brushing himself off as he stared down at the person in front of him. "Come, Shouto. I've got things to do."

Shouto didn't move though.

"Todoroki," Midoriya spat, glaring down at the other, irritation lacing his voice. "I said, let's go. Don't make me ask twi--"

"Or what? What are you gonna do? You've already hurt me, you've already used me. You used my friends against me. You've used my own quirk against me. What else can you do?" Shouto didn't look up from the ground but he knew the villain was staring at him. "I've got nothing left, and you have nothing left to say or do to get me to act like your little pet. So just kill me."

Midoriya snarled. He was about to come up with a snarky remark before something came across his mind, an idea.

"Really, Shouto? You think I wanna kill you?" Bakugou looked up at the sound of his friend's voice, curious. It was soft and calming, almost comforting. "I'd never do that. Not in a million years, baby. I promise you. I'm just trying to help you become a better person, like I promised before we graduated."

Todoroki shut his eyes, trying to shut out the memory that was starting to form.

"Don't you remember that?" Midoriya asked. Shouto nodded. "You think I want to kill you, Shouto?"

Silence. But Todoroki loosened up from his tense state and Izuku smirked.

"Well sometimes," Midoriya began, leaned down to grab the back of the other's head, red and white strands of hair poking out from his crooked fingers as he forced the other to look up at him. "I do."

...

"Next time you wanna play the tough guy and act like you don't care about what I do or say to you," Midoriya shouted as he dragged the other into the room and threw him against the floor. "Think twice about it. Because I know you still care, I know you hate it because you're still in love with me and that's the best part."

Midoriya kicked him in the stomach just as he was about to get up, harshly grabbing the other by his wrists and pulling him up until mismatched eyes met green ones.

"You wanna know why it's my favorite when you try acting like nothing bothers you??" The freckled boy slammed the other against the wall with a sadistic look plastered on his face. "Because it's so fun to break you over and over again and watch you crumble at my feet. It's such a fucking turn on when you cry to me because I went a little too far and the best part about all of that is when I get to pretend to be nice even if it's just for an hour or so. And you know I'm pretending, but you still fall for me. Each day, I love it."

"Do you even still love me?" The question made him stop. He didn't let go, but he froze and his expression changed, almost as if he was thinking for once.

Todoroki didn't break eye contact, waiting for an answer.

"I wanna rip your fucking eyes out and hang them on Kacchan's Christmas tree." Midoriya spoke, but loosened his grip on the other, taking off his shirt and tossing it on the bed. "I'm gonna go shower."

Without another word, he left.

'He didn't say no.'

Todoroki rubbed at his neck, refusing the urge to cry. He moved over to the bed and sat down, taking the other's shirt in his hand and staring down at it. He gently rubbed his thumb along the hem of it before feeling his anxiety start to rise. He tossed it to the ground, taking a deep breath and trying to put something else on his mind.

And then it got worse, it seemed as if everything had gotten quiet even though he could hear the water running in the bathroom but it still seemed quiet. Quiet enough to hear his thoughts and that wasn't a good thing.

He snapped his fingers, once, and twice, and three times, and more to keep his mind occupied, focusing on the sound, and before he knew it, a pair of calloused hands were place on his wrist, this time was more gentle than last.

"Calm down, you're freaking yourself out. I'm here." Izuku called out to him.

"I don't want you here."

"Well you're stuck with me." Midoriya glared but his gaze softened when he saw Todoroki smile. It was small, but it was definitely there. "I like that."

And he let go, and sat down beside him. Todoroki's smile didn't falter but it didn't grow either.

"I like it when you smile, more than I do when you cry. You have such a wonderful smile, Shouto..." His tone was different, not the same as it was the past 4 years. "I miss seeing it."

And that's when he stopped, Shouto frowned and closed his eyes. A mistake.

"Ugh." Midoriya glared again, grabbing the other collar of his shirt and yanking him forward. "Why the fuck did you toss my shirt to the ground??"

"Tch, what happened to your bullshit nice guy act?!"

"I don't know what the fuck you're on about, why's my shirt on the ground?!" Midoriya shouted, tightening his grip as he glared. "Pick my shirt up or I'll fuck you up, you won't wake up tomorrow."

Todoroki got up, picked up his shirt, before throwing it at the other. And in a span of a second, Midoriya was in front him with his hand around his neck and the other's back against the wall.

"Oh, you just love playing games, huh?! Don't you??" Izuku shouted, tightening his grip with each word. "Cry for me, I know you want to."

Todoroki shook his head, clawing at the other's wrists to get him to let go so he could at least breathe.

"Do it." Midoriya demanded, his anger increasing as he stared down at the other with nothing but hatred and maybe, possibly a hint of love... "Someone you thought you loved, someone you thought who cared about you is hurting you, Shouto. Just like they promised they wouldn't."

"Wouldn't be the first." His dad came to mind, and Midoriya knew that.

"Oh, right. Your daddy, huh? I killed him, and it was SO satisfying."

"Good for you."

Midoriya growled, punching the wall beside Shouto's head. "FUCKING CRY."

"No." Todoroki mumbled, his small smile returning to his face and Midoriya stopped, loosened his grip around Todoroki's neck and brought his hand up to his face.

"Keep that." The green haired boy spoke softly as he gently dragged his thumb against the other's lip with an almost curious look. "I love that, I love you."
