Todoroki stared down at the note, completely oblivious to it all.

"What does this mean?" He had asked and everyone turned to look at him.

"It means he's gone." Was all Ochako said as she slammed the noted down and walked to her dorm.

12 years since Midoriya had left.

To save everyone? However he had put it.

Todoroki laid in bed with a look of longing on his face. He just sat there, thinking.

He never slept, he never took a break.

He just thought.

Thought about Midoriya.

His times with him. Showed him his purpose. Put him out there, he stuck by his side.

And Todoroki was longing for that again.

Everyone had moved on. Bakugou being number one, married to Kirishima who had managed to climb his way up to the number 4 spot.

It was amazing, really. Number four? That was great.

But what was amazing was that he had someone to sleep with at night.

Despite being number 2, Kirishima was luckier than him when it came to emotional situations.

He had someone to hold onto on your darkest hour of the night. On your saddest day, when you feel lonely. He had someone to love him.

And Shouto? He had no idea where his bestfriend was.

And he never will.

Until one day, he had decided on moving towards the city he was born in.

He's lived there for no more than 3 months-

And that's when it happened.

Todoroki had gotten home late from patrolling that night, expecting his cat to come running towards him for food as soon as he opened the front door.

But what he got instead was silence.

No sound of his washer running. No sound of the fridge making the weird noise.

Quiet.

As soon as he started walking forward, he felt fingers brush against his waist, latching onto his belt.

Shouto froze, thinking he was about to be robbed. "I don't have money."

"I don't want money."

The familiar sound of someone special rang through his ears and that's when his cat came crawling out.

His eyes looked up at the mirror across from him and he felt the tears that came forward.

The hand let go of the belt and pulled him into a hug.

"I'm home."

Two weeks after he came back, the nightmares continued.

"Izuku!" He screamed, bolting up and running his fingers through his hair as he cried.

"I'm here." Midoriya would mumbled, taking Todoroki's hand in his and pulling him to his side.

"I don't wanna lose you again, please don't leave me again."

Midoriya wouldn't say anything, but the night was always left as an unsaid promise.

He regretted leaving the other like this, abandoning him. But it was for the best. They both knew it, they both hated it.

"I love you." Midoriya would say as he coaxed the other back to sleep.

"Do you mean it?" Todoroki would ask as he goes up into bright green eyes. He never believed it because you don't leave someone you love.

"I do." Liar. "I'm not lying."

"Please don't--" Todoroki had started crying as he fell on top of the other.

"I won't, Shouto." Midoriya placed his hands underneath the other's thighs and lifted him up.

He got out of bed and carried the other to the balcony to watch the stars.

After that, Midoriya made sure to never leave his sight.

"Shouto, if you need me I'll be right in the kitchen while you shower."

Todoroki just stared at him as he gripped his towel.

"Why?"

"Because I have to make dinner, sweetheart." Midoriya smiled.

"I'll make dinner. Just shower with me."

"But don't you want it ready for when you come out and you're all cleaned and ready to go?"

A small shake of his head..

"Sho..."

Todoroki sighed as he walked towards the bathroom. "Okay, I'll be out in five minutes."

After that, Todoroki had gotten out and peeked over the counter and sighed with relief.

"I didn't leave."

"You didn't." He would say with a soft smile on his face.

Midoriya smiled and the two carried on for the rest of their night.

Midoriya had gotten home one night, listening to the sound of his boyfriend humming.

It was a soft tone that left behind a calming thought.

He smiled as he walked towards the room with a smile on his face.

This was his life and he was perfectly content with it.

I tried with this one, I wasn't too sure on the idea of it but if you've read the manga then it would make more sense
