'Does happiness lie in a diamond ring?' 

Bakugou looked down at the ring in his hand as he waited for the other to get back from his mission. He was nervous.

Okay, nervous was an understatement. But Izuku's his best friend, he's been his best friend since, whatever. They were best friends.

And they were dating, they've been dating since their last year of UA, so 7 years to be exact. And it's finally time to tie the knot.

But one thing remained, how do you marry someone who has no idea you're apart of the group he's after?

A hero and villain and Bakugou's been living like this, lying to his boyfriend and that was the worst part. He couldn't keep it forever, it was eating him alive.

He sat there, feeling anxious and worried but at the same time, excited.

"Okay." He sighed, trying to calm his nerves before the sound of the door opening was heard throughout the room. "You're back."

"I am." Midoriya spoke in an off tone. Uh oh. "I wanna talk to you about something, Kacchan. And I want you to be completely honest with me."

Fuck.

"Ok." Bakugou leaned back, his back hitting the wall as he got comfortable. Midoriya took his hand in his and stared into red eyes, his other moving to rest on Bakugou's thigh.

"Is there something you need to tell me?"

"No?" Bakugou mumbled, trying his best to keep calm. "What are you talking about, Deku?"

"I'll give you a hint." Midoriya closed his eyes, sighing in disappointment. He gripped the other's thigh, as if he was pissed off and hurt at the same time. Bakugou winced. "8:00pm, last night, by the alley. Who were you talking to?"

No one.

"Someone."

"Are you a villain?" Midoriya asked, serious for once. He didn't break eye contact with other, staring until Bakugou looked back at him with a blank expression.

"No."

"You're such a bad liar." Midoriya glared, digging into the other's thigh, lightning beginning to form around him.

"Ah! Shit, Deku. Let go, that shit hurts." Bakugou growled in pain, trying to push his boyfriend off of him. 

"Tell me, Kacchan. Are you a villain?"

"So what if I was?! What would you do about it? Gonna turn me in?! Gonna killed me? Kick my ass and Go run off with fucking round face and her little ugly looking flat faced cats?!" Bakugou shoved the other off and stood up. "I'm not, not a fucking villain."

"You stuttered, I'm not stupid."

"You're acting like it." Bakugou had mumbled before backing up when Midoriya's face changed, he started walking over to him. "I'm not a villain, Deku."

"I think you are. Let me tell you about my day." Midoriya spoke and in a second, he had the blonde against the wall with his forearm against his neck. "We caught someone who made a deal with us. You wanna know what that deal was? Exposing his partner and team with actual hardcore evidence that they're involved and guess who's name slipped from his mouth? You wanna tell me you're a villain now?"

Bakugou glared, bringing his arms to the other's wrist and shoving him away before taking the fabric of his hero costume and pushing him back until they hit the bed. "You know what? Yeah, I am a villain. I'm the worst you'll ever see and there's nothing you can do to stop me with it? I can fucking kill you right now. I know your strengths, I know your weaknesses. I know everything about you, Deku."

"So do it." Midoriya didn't break away or even try fighting back, but his gaze softened. "Kill me."

Bakugou stared down at him with an unreadable look before pushing himself up, standing up and looking down at the boy laid out in front of him. "I will one day. But not right now."

"Why?"

"Because right now, I love you." He stopped, taking out the ring from his jacket pocket and gently throwing it at the other who had sat up. The ring landed in his lap and Midoriya stared down at it in shock. "And my mom always told me not to hurt the people we love. So until you give me a reason to hate your fucking guts, I'm never gonna stop loving you."

Midoriya thought for a moment before taking the ring in his hand and putting it on his ring finger, standing up. "I'm gonna take a shower, avoid going out tonight, my team is patrolling this entire area. No one knows about you because I destroyed the tape of him calling you out and blamed it on one of his teammates. I just wanted to see if you'd tell me the truth, Kacchan because I love you too and no matter what, I will always make sure you're okay and that you can count on me. Till death do us part."
