Aiden's POV
Dawn beat me for what felt like eternity. By the end of it my vision was hazy and my ears were ringing. I couldn't move, afraid to find out what was broken. My brain wasn't full of the worry about my pain. It was only full of Adam's words. "I do not love you! I love Aiden!". I smile weakly and look across the room. Dawn had kicked and punched me so hard, I ended up on the other side of the room. "Hey trash! Do you smell that?" I hear Dawn call down the hall as a heavenly aroma flooded into my nostrils. My stomach growled as I wince in hunger. "You don't even deserve your slop tonight. You made a big mistake and now you're paying" she says, evilly. I cower away and lay my head back on the cement. Why can't I just be dead? There's no way I'm escaping and the boys have no clue where I am. There's no point in continuing on in life anymore. I'll be in my nightmares for now. Maybe those will be better than reality.
Adam's POV
"Tyler can you drive any faster please?" I beg, trying to keep my sanity in place. "The GPS says that we'll be there in a matter of minutes. Hold on" he replies, speeding up. Please Aiden hold on for a few more seconds. I close my eyes tightly as the car comes to a halt. My eyes fly open as I jump out of the car, looking at the old casino. Before walking in, Ty pops open the trunk and hands each of us a hand gun. "Where did you get these?" Tyler asks, confused. Ty smirks then answers "I know some good people". Tyler and I know not to question it, so we continue our trek up to the casino. The place seemed a little big but not ginormous. We finally reach the front door to find out it's locked. Of course. "Stand back" Ty orders as the rest of us obey him. He holds the gun up gently before firing, knocking the deadbolt off of the door. How can Ty suddenly have the wits to do all of this? What has he been hiding from me after all of these years? The four of us follow inside where we find a path of two hallways. "Alex and Tyler go left. Adam and I will go right. We'll call each other when we find Aiden safe. After that we will meet at the car. For now, keep each other safe and also be careful. Both of them are ruthless" Ty says as the rest of us nod. Holding our guns out in front of us, Ty and I follow down the right hallway. "Am I the only one who smells pizza?" I whisper, looking over at Ty. "I smell it too" he replies as we continue down the hallway a little faster. A door on our left approaches us as we slow to a halt. Ty peeks his head inside before walking in, aiming his gun at someone. "Move and I will blow your brains out" he says in a sinister voice. I've never heard his voice come to this. I look into the room to see Aiden's mother with her hands behind her head and Ty behind her, aiming the gun directly at her. "Go find Aiden. I'll watch after this one" Ty instructs. I nod and run down the hallway where a door comes up on my right. I unlock it and watch as it slowly creaks open. Once it finally creaks all the way open I see a girl lying on the ground in a pool of blood. "Aiden!" I exclaim, running inside and kneeling down to her. Her deep blue eyes look up at me weakly as I smile big, tears running down my cheeks. "Adam ......y-you need ...to get out of....here..." she tries to speak. "Shh. You're safe now" I say, wrapping my arms around her. I needed to get her out of here now.
"Adam. Dawn!" Aiden squeaks, making me turn around to see Dawn walk into the room. Oh no. This could end terribly. "Well hello my love" she sneers with a smirk. "Stay away from her" I growl, standing in front of Aiden protectively. Dawn suddenly comes running at me and tazes me. I groan and fall to the floor, my body shaking as the bolts rush through me. Where did she get a tazer from?! She pulls it away as I continue to shake, slowly beginning to stop. I look up at her and watch as she pulls the gun away from me and aims it at Aiden. "Now if you don't mind I think it's time I finish the job once in for all" Dawn says, smiling evilly. Act quick Adam! "Dawn what's the point in wasting ammo on a girl that I don't care about? I love you not her. She's nothing" I whisper, trying to pull off the act. Aiden's eyes fill with hurt and pain as my heart sinks. Please don't hate me Aiden. I just need her to buy this act for a few seconds then we can be reunited again. Dawn smirks and walks, up to Aiden one last time. "I told you I would get him back. You're nothing important" she kicks her as I pull Dawn away from her. I pull her to me and kiss her lips gently. I felt like my lips were melting off. Just get the gun Adam. Don't worry about her. I peek open one eye and wrap my arms around Dawn's waist, finding the gun. In one swift move, I pull the gun away and knock her on the backside of the head with the bottom of the gun. She falls to the floor unconscious as I shiver in disgust. I rush back over to Aiden and realize that her breaths were becoming shallow and her eyes refused to open. No. Aiden No! I pick her up and rush through the building. "TY! ALEX! TYLER! CAR NOW! HURRY!" I scream, bawling. "Yes that's the right address. Yes ma'am. Thank you" Ty says, hanging up the phone with what I guessed was the police. Looking in the room behind him, Aiden's mother laid on the floor unconsious. I don't care about them right now. My only worry was getting Aiden to the hospital.
They meet me at the car in a matter of minutes before rushing to the nearest hospital. When we finally arrive in the hospital, I rush to the back seat and pick her up, running inside. Doctors run into the room from separate directions as they pull in a gurney, setting her on it. My mind was mush. I could really be losing my Aiden at the moment. "I'm sorry sir but you need to stay in the waiting room" a nurse instructs me, stepping in front of me. The doctors and other nurses began to push her gurney down the hall, causing me to panic. "No. I can't I just got her back.. please" I beg, tears falling one by one down my face. "I'm sorry sir. As soon as she is stable you may go back there but not yet. Please have a seat in our waiting room" she instructs politely. "Come on man" Ty says gently, pulling me towards the waiting room. No one else sat in there except the four of us. "I need to see her..." I whisper, my heart aching. "We will soon dude. Just hold on.." Tyler starts as I cut him off. "No you don't understand. The last thing she heard me say was that I loved Dawn and not her. I had to trick Dawn and kiss her. Her eyes were filled with pain before she blacked out. What if she fully gives up on life?" I say, bawling. Alex rubs my back while Ty and Tyler crack jokes, trying to lighten my mood. It works some but not much. Nothing will make me happy until my Aiden is alright.
