Aiden's POV
I kept running, my mind becoming the better of me. I can't be near my father. I can't see him. My feet kept pacing, taking me closer and closer to Adam's house. Nothing was going around in my mind except my parents. When finally arriving, I run around the house and to the dock. This place seemed so peaceful and quiet. A great place to get my thoughts in order.
"Aiden? Are you alright?" Ty questions, walking towards the me. I sit on the edge of the dock, letting my feet hang over the side. My toes barely were able to touch the freezing cold water below me. My eyes trail along the trees and waves out in front of me. "Yeah. I'm okay.. Life's just rough" I mutter, twiddling my thumbs. "What happened?" he asks as I sigh. "While on our walk, Adam and I ran into my dad. I kind of blew up then ran" I reply, my eyes refusing to leave the sight in front of me. "It sounds like you need a break" Ty whispers, causing me to nod. "Ty it's getting so hard. I need to get all of my memories back but I don't know how. It seems that anytime I pick up or go near a certain thing I get memories back about that. Sometimes I can even remember in dreams. However I cant with Adam. How can I remember Adam?" I ask, turning to look at him. He sighs and rubs a hand along the back of his neck. "I'm trying to recall any place where you and Adam had a connection at..." he breathes.
"Aiden!" Adam calls from behind, panting. My eyes turn to him then back out at the water. "Yeah?" I ask, swinging my feet back and forth. "Are you okay?". I feel him sit behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist. "I just need a break away from all of this. It's becoming so overwhelming" I whisper. Ty nods and looks at Adam, giving him a funny look. "Well then it's your lucky day. I happen to have these" Adam says, pulling out four tickets to comic con in London, England. I was getting to go to London! My mouth drops as I take the plane and convention tickets in my hand.
I. Get. To. Go. To. London.
I turn and hug Adam tightly. "Are these real?!" I ask, excitingly. He nods with a chuckle, causing my smile to grow even more. Forget Dawn and my mother. Forget my dad. I was leaving here. "When do we leave?" I question, looking up at Adam. He smiles and holds up a hand. "Five days" he replies. I squeal and hug him tightly. "Wait why is there four tickets?" I require, turning to face him completely. "Well there is you, me, Ty and another one of your friends Tyler. You met him before your mom.. yeah" Adam says, laughing at my excitement. "I'm going to go start packing!!" I yell, jumping up then proceeding to run inside to my bedroom. I run and jump on my bed, giggling while something drifts down and lands on my face. It was flighty, almost like a feather but not as light. I pick up the paper and look down at the writing. "Remember me? What is that suppose to mean?" I question as something moves from across my room. No. Things just now started to get better. Please dear God no. Without warning, a boy with glasses and dark swoopy hair pops up, smiling big. I instantly new who he was. I had a dream about us at the dock when I sang and played the guitar. He always loved to scare me. "Still trying to scare me huh Tyler?" I giggle, standing. "It's my job and hey! You remember me!" he exclaims, pulling me into a tight hug. I hug back, smiling. Everything was falling back into place. My smile grows more and more the more I thought about how I was getting away from here. "You wanna play while I pack? I could really use some music" I question, as he nods with a smile.
Adam's POV
After Aiden had ran off I turn back to her father. "What exactly did you think would happen?" I demand, becoming furious. He shook his head and kneeled down in front of me. "I have hated myself since the moment I walked out of that door and left her with her mother. I didn't expect Devon to hurt her like this. I couldn't see her doing this to our baby girl" he says, his eyes lowering to his lap. "News flash. She's not your baby girl, she's mine. I love her and you abandoned her in her time of need. When you and her mother are the ones who took Aiden away from me in the first place. She doesn't want to see you and neither do I. Come near MY baby girl again and there will be trouble" I spit out at him before turning and running after Aiden. My bones were shaking inside of my body with anger.
Once finally catching up, I see Ty and Aiden on the dock talking peacefully. She really is becoming close to him. I smile, walking down to the dock. I sit down behind Aiden, seeing Ty continuing to give me a look. 'What' I mouth to him, confused. Ty looked at Aiden then at my pocket then back at her. He wants me to tell her about the tickets. I was going to on our walk but that was quickly interrupted. "I just need a break away from all of this. It's becoming so overwhelming" Aiden sighs, rubbing a hand through her hair. "Well then it's your lucky day. I happen to have these" I reply, pulling out the tickets and holding them out to where she can see. "Are these real?!" she yells out as I nod with a chuckle. "When do we leave?". "Five days" I say, catching Ty smirking at us in the corner of my eye. "Wait why is there four tickets?" she questions, looking at me confused. "Well there is you, me, Ty and another one of your friends Tyler. You met him before your mom.. yeah" I answer, smiling. "I'm going to go pack!" Aiden suddenly exclaims, jumping up and running inside.
"Did Tyler ever get here?" I question, turning to Ty. He nods with a smirk. "I had a feeling that Aiden would go run off to start packing, so, I told Tyler to hide in her bedroom. If we hear a scream then she can't remember him. If not, she remembers. Adam she's starting to remember everything and everyone except you" he says in a serious tone. The thought hits me like a ton of bricks. She's starting to remember everyone but me. "Before you came, she said that anytime she picks up or goes near a certain thing it helps her remember. Where is a significant place where you two had a connection?" he questions, causing my mind to do rolls and flips. Then the memory feels like a hand slapping me across the cheek. The park bench where I saved her! How could I forget that place?! "The park bench. The day I saved her from her mother, I found her in the park on a park bench. That was our first connection after meeting each other again" I reply. Ty smiles and nods. "Take her there before we leave for comic con" he orders, standing. I stand, trying to keep my balance. "I guess she remembers Tyler. I didn't hear a scream" Ty whispers, chuckling. I smile and nod, walking up with him to the house. How in the world did I forget about that place?
