Aiden's POV

"Ty?" I ask, pausing the game and turning to him. He turns and faces me, waiting for my question diligently while taking a drink of the cup next to him. "Adam means the world to me. He's my best friend and basically my older brother. But, what if I'm starting to like him more than that? I don't want to ruin the friendship we have and I don't want him to have to go through the trouble in my life" I say, looking at him. Ty suddenly spits out the contents of the cup, causing me to burst into laughter. "I knew you like Adam!" he exclaims as I tackle him, covering his mouth. "Ty shh! I trust you so be quiet! They could be home any minute! Now what should I do? If Adam ends up hurting me who will I have left?" I ask, getting off of him so he can answer.

"Aiden I trust Adam with my life. I wouldn't plan on him hurting you and if he does you will have me. I promise" he answers, making me smile. "So I should give Adam a chance?" I question one last time. Ty nods again as I smile. "Guys we're back!" Tyler calls from downstairs. I stand and look at Ty putting my index finger to my lips, motioning to be quiet. "I won't tell a soul" he says, smiling. I smile back before running downstairs to see Tyler but no Adam. "Tyler where's Adam?" I question, wanting to see him. "I think outside talking to someone but he'll be inside any minute" Tyler replies, putting up various items in the kitchen. Something was bothering him. "Who's outside?" I ask, walking towards Tyler. No reply. I sigh and walk out the back door, sitting in the yard. What if Adam doesn't feel the same way towards me? What if after explaining my love for him it just makes things awkward between us instead of better.

"Are you alright?". I smile at the voice as I feel him sit behind me and snake his arms around my waist gently. I lean against Adam's chest, listening to his heartbeat. "I'm okay" I answer, smiling bigger. My feelings for Adam were real. Now the question is does he feel the same way about me? I know I can trust Adam but I can't lose him in my life. He's been there for me in so many times and knows everything about me. I couldn't stand me hurting him or even him hurting me. It wasn't long after Adam sat down before the sun started to set. "Adam we're hungry!!!" Tyler whines behind us. I sigh and look back at Adam. "That's our cue to go back inside" Adam chuckles. I nod and stand with him, following him inside. "I'm just going to order pizza" Ty grumbles, pulling out his phone. Adam nods and sits on the couch while I walk upstairs. I change into a pair of sweat pants and a tank top before pulling my hair up into a messy bun. I look across the room into the mirror at my arms. The bruises were slowly fading and the cuts were starting to turn into scars. I sigh, trying not to remember the memories behind them. I return downstairs to see Tyler and Adam were having a wrestling match in the living room while Ty was scrolling through twitter. "Why are you guys on the floor?" I question, laughing. "Adam decided to tackle Tyler because of a... never mind" Ty replies, not looking up from his phone. "Because of a what?" I ask, walking closer to Ty, a devious look crawling across my face. Ty looks up at me then sighs. "Tyler and I made a bet. He said that he wouldn't be surprised if you two hooked up a two week radius" Ty says, trying not to laugh. My face flushes a bright red as a knock comes from the front door. "On that note. I'm going to go get the pizza" I say, grabbing money from Ty and running to the front door. I pay the man and take the pizza, closing and locking the door behind me. "Pizza!" Tyler shrieks, yanking the box from my hands and running to the kitchen. "Tyler get back here!" Adam yells, laughing under his breath. I smile at him and follow the guys into the kitchen getting some pizza for myself.

~Late that night~

Adam's POV

Ear piercing screams fill the house as I launch myself out of bed at the sound. Tyler and Ty stuck their heads in my room but I quickly told them to go back to bed. I slide out of the bed and quickly run into her room, seeing her pacing the room shaking and crying. Her arms finally reach up to her hair as she pulls tightly on it, falling to her knees. She leans over to where her forehead lay on the floor with the rest of her body in a kneeling position. "Aiden, sweetie?" I ask, walking closer to her. "D-don't touch me. I don't want to hurt you" she breathes out, her breaths unsteady. I shook my head and walk over to her, picking her up. She screams as I walk over to the bed and wrap my arms around her tightly. "Adam let go of me" she yells out but I refuse. "I promised you that I would always be here to protect you. I'm not letting go of you. Take deep breaths" I order. She does as told, slowly starting to stop shaking. I wipe away any excess tears and hug her tightly. "Did you have a nightmare?" I question. She nods back in return. "It's okay Aiden. You're safe" I reply, laying her down in the bed. "I was safe.. others weren't" she whispers. "Aiden you're not a monster. You didn't do anything nor will you. Tyler, Ty and I trust you" I whisper back, watching a smile spread across her face. I smile down at her, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear before returning towards the door. "Adam?" her angelic voice asks. I turn and face her, watching her sit up. "Will you please stay with me tonight?". I smile at the thought and nod, walking back to the bed and climbing in next to her. I wrap an arm around her waist, holding her tightly to me. It wasn't long after till she fell into a deep sleep. Ever so gently, I lean down and kiss her on the cheek, knowing that she was already passed out. I had to get it off my chest. I needed to tell her how I felt. Maybe I will soon...
