A Forgotten Memory

So close..

Aiden's POV

The sun's rays drift through the window causing me to roll over. "Ugh really sun?" I question, sitting up in the bed. My eyes then drift to the sleeping boy next to me. I smile and move one of his curls out of his face. My heart thudded faster and faster as I leaned down and kissed his cheek. My hand grazed along his cheek over and over, my heart overflowing with love for him. "Aiden what are you doing?" he questions, chuckling. "Guess what" I reply, laying down so our eye level was equal. His eyes open as I look deep into them. "I didn't have a nightmare last night. That's the first time in years" I whisper as a large smile spreads across his face. He pulls me tightly to him, making me giggle. "I'm so happy for you Aiden" he whispers in my ear, making me shiver. I love him so much. Right now. I have to tell him what I feel right now. "I need to tell you something" Adam and I say in unison. I giggle saying "you first". He nods and takes a deep breath. "Aiden I-" he says before becoming cut off. "ADAM! IT'S HER" Tyler and Ty scream out, in a worryful tone. Adam and I quickly jump out of the bed, running down the stairs to see them facing towards the back door. Adam runs up to them while I stood across from them confused. The sound of the back door opening and slamming comes from behind me. Adam turns to face me, horror quickly growing across his face. Someone was behind me, now the only question was who. Adam walks up to me and pulls me behind him as I look around him at a young woman holding a gun out to us. "Hello Adam" she smirks, aiming the gun towards my head peeking out. "What do you want Dawn?" Adam hisses, holding me behind his back protectively. "Heard that a new slut was around you so I had to come see for myself. Besides my boss has asked to keep the plan a secret" she replies. "What plan? Why would you care Dawn? I broke up with you for a reason. Leave her out of this" he growled back at her. Her eyes filled with pure hatred as her smirk turned into a cheshire cat smile.

"I told you that you would be mine no matter what or who I had to get rid of to do it" she says, walking towards us. Adam holds me tighter. He can't risk his life for mine. Not when he had so much to live for. Not when he had way more people caring about him than me. I love him so I can't let anything happen to him. I step out of Adam's reach facing Dawn. "Fine. Beat me. Torture me. Just leave Adam out of this" I order, making her move the aim of the gun towards me. Her smirk grows as she grabs my wrist pulling me towards the back door, pointing the gun back at Adam. I wince at her grip. Those bruises haven't healed yet. "Move it whore!" she yells at me, pushing me towards the door and pushing the gun into my back. I had to take one for the team. I loved Adam so as long as he is safe. "She's not a whore and not a slut!" Ty calls, running at her and tackling her to the floor. Dawn yelps, letting go of the gun, making it slide across the floor. I run after the gun and aim it at the two of them on the floor. "Ty move" I direct, still aiming at Dawn. He moves out of the way as I walk closer to her. "Get out. If I ever see your face anywhere around here again, I will not be afraid to shoot. NOW GET" I scream, making her scramble to her feet and run out the back door. I take a deep breath and sigh, gripping the gun tightly. Man the world really does have something against me. "Aiden are you alright?" Adam asks, walking towards me. I turn to face the guys, a smile growing on my face. "I actually matter..." I whisper out, tears growing in my eyes. As if on cue all of them yelled "yes!" and engulfed me into a huge hug. I smile and giggle. "So what were you going to say Adam?" I ask, pulling away from the guys and looking at Adam. "Um... I forgot oops" he answers, laughing awkwardly. I knew he was lying but I just shrugged off. "I think it's time for me to start looking for a job. It's not fair for you to just keep buying me everything. I want to help out if I'm going to live here" I mutter out. "Then go get dressed. I know the perfect place that you would love to work" Adam replies, smiling. I nod and run towards my room but stop. I turn and face Ty "thanks for stopping her". He smiles gently and nods before I take off back down my room.

Adam's POV

"You're a idiot" Tyler jokes, punching me in the arm. "You were going to tell her your feelings weren't you?" Ty questions. I nod in return as they both groan. "It's obvious you like her and I have a good feeling that she likes you back" Tyler says as my face begins to grown red. "I'm ready" Aiden calls out, walking into the room wearing a band t-shirt, skinny jeans and converse. She had a tad of makeup on with her hair straightened. She looked beautiful. I smile big as I walk towards her. "So what is this job exactly?" Aiden questions excitedly. I chuckle and tap her head. "It's working with a thing that you love" I reply, taking her hand and leading her out to my car. Her face blushed a shade of red, not letting go of my hand. That's a good sign. She slid into the passenger seat as I sit in the drivers seat. I pull out of the driveway and drive for a few minutes before pulling up to a music shop. Her face lights up seeing a 'Help Wanted' sign hanging in the window. I get out of the car and rush to her side, opening her door for her. Aiden steps out, her smile growing every second. "Well here I go" she chuckles out, turning and walking towards the door. "Aiden wait" I call after her, causing her to stop and face me. I run up to her and kiss her cheek gently, causing her face to turn to a very vibrant red. "Text me whenever your interview is over and I will come pick you up. Goodluck" I whisper, smiling. I give her a quick hug before returning to the car. Aiden smiles and nods, walking inside. I really am wholeheartedly in love with her. My day dreams of her and I together got the best of me until my phone in my pocket began to buzz. I pull it out and hold it to my ear, answering it. "Hello?" I question, smiling. "Dude you really need to come up with a date or something so you can ask her. I think I have the exact plan for you. Tyler and I have been discussing this ever since you left" Ty says into the phone. "You two really want us together huh?" I ask, laughing. "Yes now get your butt home so we can discuss this" Ty replies. I smile and agree, driving home.
