Y/N and Harry sat on the swing set in silence, both enjoying each other's company. Neither had to say a word, the two cousins only reveling in the calm atmosphere of the children's playground.
Harry read a book as Y/N's feet toyed with the patch of grass underneath her, the cool summer breeze hitting the two. Both seemed to be lost in their little world, the silence comforting them. But of course, as always, all good things must come to an end.
"He squealed like a pig, didn't he?"
The two cousins turned their heads, both of them rolling their eyes at the sight of Dudley and his friends-or as Y/N liked to call them, the goons of a git. Y/N and Harry were forced to come to the Dursley's today with the girl's family, although her parents weren't fond of them either, even if they were all related.
Y/N's father often had to contain himself from launching on Vernon Dudley, the man fueling an anger in him of which is wife had to help contain. It made Harry happy to know he wasn't the only one to despise the family, not to mention their cruel past towards the raven-haired boy.
"Oh, for fuck's sake," Y/N muttered, the two cousins still watching Dudley and his gang now make their way onto the playground.
"Yeah, brilliant punch, Big D," one of them said, "Did you see his face?"
Dudley only smirked as he turned to face his two cousins on the swing, his friends trailing behind him as they all approached. Harry huffed under his breath as Y/N rolled her eyes, narrowing them at the boy.
"Hey, Big D," Y/N said in a taunting manner, the group of boys smirking at her and Harry. "Beat up another 10-year-old?"
"This one deserved it."
"Yeah," his friends said simultaneously, Y/N only rolling her eyes. Harry glared at the group in front of him, not wanting to say anything as he knew he would lose his composure.
"I've got a question for you, Dudley," Y/N continued, slowly standing up from the swing and stalking her way over to the boys. She held a mischievous look in her eyes, a small smirk on her lips.
She looked to the group of boys behind Dudley, all of them eyeing her up and down as they soaked the girl's figure in, but she only rolled her eyes, not letting it affect her.
She continued to saunt over to the boys, now standing in front of Dudley with her arms crossed over her chest, the mischievous glint in her eyes not faltering with her smirk.
