Y/N and Hermione sat on the Ravenclaw's bed in her dorm, the room empty seeing as though the group had just gotten back from the meeting. The girls were with Harry, Ron, and the boys, the group deciding to head to lunch as Y/N and Hermione decided to stay in her room.
Hermione's back was pressed against Y/N's front as they sat on the bed, Y/N's back against the headboard. It was silent as they laid against each other, Y/N's arms wrapped around Hermione as her hands rested in her lap, the bushy-haired girl playing with her fingers as she fiddled them together.
"I'm proud of you, y'know? For saying his name at Hog's Head. I know how much you hate hearing his name," Y/N said softly, her head resting on Hermione's shoulder. The girl in front of her let out a sigh as she felt Hermione lean more into her front, her fingers no longer playing with hers.
"It's just," Hermione began, "It's just that I feel like by not saying his name, I give him more power. Almost as if I'm scared to even acknowledge him."
Y/N nodded against Hermione's shoulder, "I know. That's why I pretend like he doesn't faze me," she said softly. "It would only give him more of a ego."
Hermione nodded with a small sigh as she craned her head back and to the side, her eyes peering into Y/N's. The room once more fell silent as the two looked at each other, a grin tugging at the corners of Y/N's lips.
"What," she asked, Hermione not responding. It wasn't for a few moments until she finally got a response, Hermione shrugging as she gazed into her eyes with adoration.
"Nothing," Hermione replied, "I just... appreciate you." Y/N grinned at her words as she watched Hermione inch her face closer, their lips touching softly, barely grazing each other. Hermione puckered her lips out a bit, her lips now planting themselves onto Y/N's. Neither of them made a move to start moving their lips, simply relishing in the feeling of each other.
Slowly, Y/N started to move her lips, Hermione quick to follow as they melted into each other. Hermione couldn't help but notice how Y/N's lips fit against hers almost perfectly, as if they were made for each other.
She still hadn't told Y/N about her feelings, the bushy-haired girl now fully aware that she had fallen in love. Hermione knew she should, but she was scared Y/N wouldn't feel the same. She knew Y/N liked her, but she didn't know if it was to the extent that she did. Hermione figured it would be better to tell her later, hoping that Y/N would be the one to tell her those three words first so that it put less pressure on her.
The two girls sat on the bed in Y/N's empty room, lips locked as the sound of their lips smacking together softly emitted throughout the room. Hermione's back was still pressed against Y/N's front, the bushy-haired girl practically kissing Y/N over her shoulder. Y/N's hands still rested in Hermione's lap, their kiss slow and gentle.
